I really have to thank Keatah for recommending I watch Bits and Bytes. I watched all 12 episodes and taught me a TON about not only how to use 8-bit computers but also what can be done with them beyond gaming. Plus it was a really fun series!

  It's well worth a watch, especially if you're going into them knowing next to nothing about 8-bit computers like I was. I was really pleased with how they teach you not just how to use the computers but also how the computers actually work. I think the coolest about these early 80's computers is that with a little instruction you can actually understand how every aspect of them works, whereas modern PC's are way too complex for most people to understand all the inner workings of.
