Atari was always ahead of their time. Sony and Microsoft are just now getting into 4K gaming, but Atari was publishing 4K games on the VCS all the way back in 1977.

  At the time that the Jaguar came out many people thought it was strange that the controller had a phone keypad built in, but these days phones are the most popular gaming platform. Again, Atari was so far ahead of the times that it would take the rest of the gaming industry decades to catch up.
