  1. I think Double Dragon on the Atari 7800 is one of those "you either love it or hate it" kinda games. At first I hated it and couldn't get past the first level, but then once I spent some more time with it and learned effective combat strategies I loved it. =)

      It probably also helps that when I first played it and hated it I was playing by myself via emulation, then yesterday my wife bought an original cartridge of the game so we spent much of the evening playing it together and learning the strategies needed to win. Having someone else to play with definitely ups the fun factor and lowers the difficulty.

      HATE IT. Gives the 7800 a bad name IMO. Garbage version of an otherwise fantastic game.

      Not too many good versions of DD exist unfortunately. 7800 version is okay once you get used to the repetitive back-elbow smash - but yeah, no denying it's just another lazy port.
