I've pretty much burnt out on collecting and playing games over the summer, so in an effort to rekindle my enthusiasm for the hobby and remember why I enjoyed it in the first place I've been kicking around the idea stuffing all my non-Atari systems into boxes in the closet and playing nothing but Atari systems for the entire year of 2018. I'm not sure if this is a brilliant idea or a terrible one, but it does sound like an adventure.

  It should be noted that all I have Atari wise right now is a 2600 and a dozen or so games, but I do have around $800 worth of Game Boy stuff for sale that I could easily turn into a Lynx II, Jaguar, 7800, and XEGS or 800XL as they sell. So the financial aspect of an "All Atari year" experiment wouldn't be an issue.

  Or you could save the money for something else. What did you grow up with and enjoy the most? The thing I find about buying games and systems you didn't have back then means you will be staring at them a year for now wondering how to get rid of them.
