  1. After watching dozens of comparison videos I have come to the conclusion that I cannot tell the difference between 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second, they look exactly the same to me.

      Bet those vids are improperly done. And you likely watched them on the same monitor. So no.

      I watched just about everything I could find on YouTube for framerate comparisons in 1080p, and they were being displayed on a 1080p 60Hz monitor so it should have been perfectly capable of showing the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS.

      There's a noticeable difference depending on the source material. Anything that moves quickly (camera pans especially) should be immediately apparent.

       

      Also, some browsers will automatically step down a 60fps 1080p YouTube video to a 30fps version if you don't have the bandwidth needed. So be sure you're actually seeing the 60fps version.
