  My only duty here is point out that a ton of fun can be had by sticking with 2 or 3 platforms over the years. And learning all their tricks and secrets.
  
  It helps if you had a childhood fav. For me it was the Apple II.

  And then there is the preservation scene. So many things happening on so many fronts.
  
  And when I get tired of it all I go play PC games or VCS-through-emulation. Forget about the Apple II for a while. Come back to it next month.
