Do you ever think back and realize that your life was happier before you got into retro gaming and started obsessing over acquiring a bunch of old hunks of plastic? I sure do, but I probably wouldn't be any happier if I gave it up because then I'd just have to find some other equally meaningless way to pass the time. I'm all sunshine and rainbows today. =P

The thing is, It's supposed to be fun. If it's not fun, don't do it. Don't pressure yourself to play any system or game if you're not in the mood...Then when you are in the mood, Enjoy! There shouldn't be any pressure, There's No Penalty for having a system sit dormant for a week,... or some decades...

Bah- I've always been a collector at heart. From seashells and My Little Pony as a kid, to anime/manga as a teen, to gaming now, there's ALWAYS been a hoard of random plastic around for me. The important thing is to buy what you WANT, not fill some 'quota' you're supposed to have to be a 'true collector'. And never collect outside your means- I'd love a copy of Keio Flying Squadron, but 2 months of pay for one game is simply out of the question.
