Do you ever think back and realize that your life was happier before you got into retro gaming and started obsessing over acquiring a bunch of old hunks of plastic? I sure do, but I probably wouldn't be any happier if I gave it up because then I'd just have to find some other equally meaningless way to pass the time. I'm all sunshine and rainbows today. =P

  IMHO it's about priorities. Games are, but they're not important in the grand scheme. If you're going to worry and obsess, do it over important things.
