Do you ever think back and realize that your life was happier before you got into retro gaming and started obsessing over acquiring a bunch of old hunks of plastic? I sure do, but I probably wouldn't be any happier if I gave it up because then I'd just have to find some other equally meaningless way to pass the time. I'm all sunshine and rainbows today. =P

  I don't remember much of my life before retro gaming, it was part of my childhood when it was new and it just continued into adulthood. BUT, I've never been obsessed with the collecting part. In fact, I've paired down a LOT since my son was born and I have no regrets.

  Hi Jin, when I was a boy in the early 1990's I made a commitment to myself that Neo-Geo was the console I wanted to collect. Despite the astronomical price tag for the unit and games. I made a promise to myself, I was going to be playing and collecting them when I possibly can. It took me 15 years to finally purchase an AES system and never regretted it. Personally there was never a dull moment for me to go this chosen route. To this day, it been one of my happiest moments. 8^)
