Having spent the last 5 hours in the ER with brutal abdominal pain I can now safely say that diverticulitis is awful.

  Thanks everyone. At the moment it pretty much feels like someone kicked me in the groin half a dozen times, but the doctors put me on a clear liquid diet for the next two days and gave me a two week course of antibiotics to take; so hopefully I'll get feeling better soon.
