  1. Today I learned that on a CRT TV that only does 480i and not 480p there is no discernable difference between composite and component video. Unfortunately I learned this after spending $30 on a set of official component cables for my Wii. =P

      you're a wii bit mistaken :) I have my PS2, XBox, and DVD player connected to my Component inputs on my CRT TV and there's a huge improvement in video quality when compared to composite. I have my Wii connected via Component as well, but for some reason, I've never compared it with composite.. it's just always been connected that way.
