I think my small assortment of EverDrives and Harmony Encore may be the best things I've ever purchased when it comes to gaming. Being able to play any game I want on real hardware and all off one reasonably priced cartridge per system has been great, and it's pretty effectively squashed my game collecting bug.

  Some people have gotten rid of whole collections thanks to these things, but I'm a lot more cautious than that. Seems they're going to be around for a while though, so that's good for when you need to replace when they go bad.

  I've been kinda taking the middle ground. I've gotten rid of a few games that were valuable but rarely played since I got my flash carts but have held onto my inexpensive old favorites.

  The downside of having all your eggs in one basket is that the basket may fail someday, but I'm alright with that considering the lifetime's worth of hobby money I'm saving not having to collect cartridges to play the games I want anymore. =)
