I have to admit I'm a little confused by the dozens of people I've heard say something along the lines of "The Nintendo Switch's portability let me make time in my busy life to play video games again for the first time in years." Were all these people simply unaware of the existence of the 3DS and Vita?

  Perhaps the Switch games are of a different kind or complexity than what the 3DS previously offered? I've not even seen one, much less played one so I'm just speculating.
