I realized this afternoon that in one simple sentence I can sum up my thoughts on the dilemma of whether or not to buy new systems and games when the latest games are all either digital downloads or require installs and patches that will cease to exist in 10 years when the servers providing them go offline: "Better to love and lose than never love at all."

  I prefer to get the games on cartridges, but if the game is considered really rare and is going for crazy prices, I get it on some other platform if Atari or the other publishers have done so.
