As a follow-up to my last status message, Doom (2016) was pretty awesome but holy hell is it gross. I loved Doom and Mortal Kombat back in the day when all the blood and gore were just little clusters of red pixels flying about, but my stomach is having an awfully difficult time coping with the grossness of modern Doom and Mortal Kombat's ultra realistic HD blood and gore.

  I'd still recommend the new Doom to any fan of the original, since the new Doom plays very, very similarly to the originals. Right down to the red, blue, and yellow key cards! The one big difference in gameplay is that your weapons and armor are now upgradable and you get health and ammo by killing enemies with your fists or the chainsaw. For better or worse the melee kills are also where most of the gross out scenes come from, and you need to do a LOT of them to keep your health and...
