Having spent about 6 hours playing Alien: Isolation for the first time tonight, I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand it's an incredible video game adaptation of my all time favorite film series and could have been an Alien movie in it's own right, but on the other hand I hate the stealth gameplay and dying over, and over, and over (and over) again even on Easy mode.

Nah, I didn't have any problems with the doors. My big problem was spending the last two hours stuck on a part where I'm supposed to sneak around and avoid the alien but no matter what I do it ALWAYS rips me out of wherever I'm hiding and kills me. It was scary the first 10 times, but by the 30'th time it's just $#@&ing annoying and I just gave up and quit for the night.

That said, I loved how 100% completely spot on all the visual and audio designs were to the original Alien movie. All the ship elements and computer terminals looked like they were straight out of Alien's 1979 vision of the future, and that gave me warm fuzzy feelings the likes of which no other game ever has. It looks and sounds just like Alien should, I'm just starting to feel like it would have made a better movie than a video game.
