There are some upsides to living in an apartment. No grass to mow, no snow to shovel, and if the water heater breaks down or the roof starts leaking all you have to do is make a phone call and someone else will come fix it for free.

  Thankfully that's never been a problem where I live. I've been living in the same apartment for 13 years and all my neighbors have always been really cool and pleasant to be around. Every now and then someone's dog will bark for half an hour or so while the owner is gone, but I've never minded it much.
