  1. I've never gotten motion sickness from a video game before, that is until I tried playing After Burner on the Master System tonight. I only lasted 8 minutes before I had to stop playing due to queasiness from the constantly tilting and spinning screen. Space Harrier and Galaxy Force didn't bother me at all, but man… I'm never playing After Burner again.

Few games bother me. But standing on buildings and ledges in Doom (and other FPS) make my balls all weird and stuff.

Strange. Afterburner for Master System never bothered me. My first time playing Duke Nuke ‘em on PC (when FPS were still relatively new to the industry) made me violently ill. It caused dizziness, headaches and some vomiting. I can play FPS today with no problems, but back then? No way!

Out of curiosity I tried After Burner II for the Genesis today and it gave me motion sickness too, though this time I quit and stopped playing before I started turning green. I've never been bothered by Doom (old or new), Descent, or any other first-person games, so I think it's just the way the horizon line is constantly tilting and moving in After Burner that isn't sitting well with my stomach. Ah well, such is life.
