  1. I've never gotten motion sickness from a video game before, that is until I tried playing After Burner on the Master System tonight. I only lasted 8 minutes before I had to stop playing due to queasiness from the constantly tilting and spinning screen. Space Harrier and Galaxy Force didn't bother me at all, but man… I'm never playing After Burner again.

      I feel your pain. I had the same problem playing Doom or any other FPS for that matter.

      It's weird because I've played a ton of first-person shooters over the years, including ones where your character bobs up and down a lot as they walk, and none of those ever bothered me at all. I think it was just the way the horizon was constantly tilting and spinning in After Burner but something about that game really made me feel like I was going to toss my cookies if I kept playing any longer, which was a shame because aside from the nausea I was actually enjoying playing it.

      Back when the original Tomb Raider first came out I'd always get a severe case of vertigo when looking down from a high place. The only other games that have done that to me have been the Dark Souls series.
