  1. Tonight I tried using Google Street View to go look at the house I grew up in and the places I spent time at when I was young, none of which I've laid eyes on in almost 15 years. It was a strange experience, more sad than nostalgic. Seeing everything that had changed and how even the things that hadn't were different than I remember them being. I guess you really can't ever go home again.

      I did that a couple years ago, before I ended up actually taking a trip to my hometown (haven't been there in 20 years and I live 2000 miles away). For me it was fun to see on Google, and definitely nostalgic. I thought it was interesting both how much had changed and how much HADN'T.

      Me and my old school mate from early 80s, often use Google Street View to look up old videogame company's addresses found on the back of 80s tape games.

      Sometimes we find modern offices, but sometimes we find a house - so some of these companies used to work in their homes.
