  1. For the first time in about 3 years I checked the prices on NES games today and was surprised to see that most common games are now selling for half what they were a few years ago. It's really relieving to see the bubble deflating on at least one portion of the retro gaming market.

      yeah the common games get silly around christmas, right now smb duck hunt might be 2,3 dollars but at christmas it will probably go up to 10 just like the last 2 years. on a side note anyone find it funny how the games that always had some value like bubble bobble, contra, and final fantasy really haven't increased in value, even the dragon warriors haven't gone up a on in value but stuff that used to be dirt cheap like Krion Conquest and mighty final fight have gotten silly expen...

      Not all are good. Many years ago it was easy to get CHeetahmen2 sealed for about $50. Today it's a lot more for game that are unplayable.

      I mainly collect in order to play so I'm not too unhappy about any bubbles bursting. A cool thing about NES collecting is that there are still so many fun games that can be had for $10 or less.
