It still amazes me that somehow I never knew the PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 even existed up until a couple years ago, and I grew up during the 16-bit era. I've never played one before but I'd sure like to some day.
I remember seeing fifty dollar TG16s being flushed out of Toys R Us in 1992, around the same time Ecco the Dolphin was released. Buying Ecco instead was... a bit of a mistake on my part.
They're still realatively cheap compared to other systems. You can pick up a working console with a controller for well under $100, and then pick up an Everdrive to play the entire library.
