  I mean, the screenplay was written by Joss Whedon and he's flat out said that the reason he made Firefly was because he wanted to do more with the crew of The Betty from Alien: Resurrection, and Firefly is pretty much universally praised so why wasn't Resurrection? I thought it was awesome!
