  1. From the ColecoVision Expansion Module #1 to the PlayStation VR, console expansions have always had their fans. With that in mind, this week's status message poll is: "What's your personal favorite console expansion hardware?"

      Sega CD, and it's not even close. It's also probably the most successful one. After that are RAM expansions for the Saturn / N64.

      For me it's the Sega 32X. I love the Genesis but to me a Genesis without a 32X is like a Super Nintendo without the Super FX games. Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing Deluxe, Doom, Metal Head, Star Wars Arcade and Shadow Squadron really show off what the Genesis could do with a little help from a friend and feel like essential parts of the Genesis library to me. =)

      Sure, that makes sense. There were a few must-play games on the 32X. Star Wars Arcade, VR Deluxe, and NBA Jam were the best ports of those respective games at the time of release. I prefer VF Remix on Saturn and Doom on PC (which is how I played it in 1994/1995, too), but to each their own. :)
