  For me it's the Sega 32X. I love the Genesis but to me a Genesis without a 32X is like a Super Nintendo without the Super FX games. Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing Deluxe, Doom, Metal Head, Star Wars Arcade and Shadow Squadron really show off what the Genesis could do with a little help from a friend and feel like essential parts of the Genesis library to me. =)

  Sure, that makes sense. There were a few must-play games on the 32X. Star Wars Arcade, VR Deluxe, and NBA Jam were the best ports of those respective games at the time of release. I prefer VF Remix on Saturn and Doom on PC (which is how I played it in 1994/1995, too), but to each their own.

  Oh yeah, NBA Jam TE and Mortal Kombat II definitely received their best home console versions on the 32X. And I know Doom got much better ports on other systems, but I still love the novelty of just being able to play it on the Sega Genesis. =)
