  1. I'd just like to take a moment to say that Silpheed on the Sega CD is refrickendiculously awesome. From the polygon graphics to the heart attack inducing music, wicked cutscenes, and the tough as nails gameplay; everything about this game really shows off what the Sega CD could do.

      My friend got that BITD and I went over and just watched him play a few levels...Man, my mind was blown!  I own the sequel on PS2 but haven't gotten around to playing it.

      It really is an astounding game on pretty much every level, I'm genuinely surprised that it hasn't become one of those $100+ Sega CD games yet. The only complaint I could really make about it is that a couple of the bosses get recycled in the later levels, but that's a minor quibble considering that I spent most of the game with my jaw hanging open going, "Holy crap how did they do that on the Sega CD!?"

      Loved the cutscenes and the giant polygon rocks from the first time I played it.
