This week's status message poll (I know it's the second one but I forgot to do one last week so I'm making up for lost time): "What's your favorite console to play light gun games on?"

Hello everyone, I am excited to join AtariAge and share my passion for Atari and the 2600 with you all! I hope to extend my collection throughout the next several years, with more 2600 games and potentially acquiring the 5200, 7800, Lynx or Jaguar. I plan to start up a YouTube channel end of senior year / beginning of college. I want to review 2600 games, talk about them, and potentially talk to the people who programmed them. I also hope to soon take part in the High Score Club and battl...

It's amazing the XEGS doesn't get more attention and love given the depth of the library. The 7800 had 59 games, that's less than the Lynx. I mean I enjoy them both, but wonder about this sometimes. Is the 7800 more common, easier to program for?

Had to decline a counteroffer on eBay. It was only $2 less than the original asking price. Why bother making it almost exactly the same price? $40.10 vs. 38.10. Really?

I had quite the Cheyenne Day! Drank Beer, listened to live music, danced with lovely women, got drenched in a hailstorm, and even talked to 2 cowboys in a bar about playing Atari!

Lymphoma treatment is really beating the crap out of me and sapping my energy. Looking for suggestions for comedy tv shows to make me laugh a bit more

Time to hook up the new system. Hmm...looks like i'm out of shelf space, and inputs, and plugs. Also doubtful that the Fire Marshall would approve of whats going on behind my entertainment center.

We had a couple of Air Force Thunderbird pilots in the resaturant today. Pretty neato.

Why must setting up every new console emulator be a pain in the butt?

Finally after years of talking about it, screened in the back porch of our small cabin in Blue Ridge. So awesome to be outside at night and not be swarmed by bugs!

My Switch has proven to be a terrible Blu-ray player.

Ever had a ZERO candy bar? It's been around since the 1920's and few candy stores in my area have it. I get them off Amazon. Really good candy bar that I recommend trying it.

My original red 3DS from 2011 is all I've had for the last 7 years. It even still has the "nintendo zone" service still installed. You know, that service that no one ever used? I really need to upgrade!

I love it when businesses have their information entirely on facebook with most of their information locked behind 'log in to continue.'

I don't usually buy digital games, but Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon is the bee's knees! It's basically Castlevania III: Part 2 and made by Koji Igarashi no less. Well worth the $10 it set me back! =D

One of my favorite memories of 1992: Walking into a mall dollar store, then walking back out with a big bag of boxed 2600 games for a sawbuck.

I had a choking fit. I tried to eat some pizza but it wouldn't stay down. I must have been in the bathroom for at least 15 minutes until I barfed up a huge wad of something. Then I could eat again. This isn't the first time, either. I think there's something wrong with my throat.
