  1. We do have a Mario like Platformer besides Scrapyard Dog. Bentley Bear: Crystal Quest. The game is completed, but it isn't on cartridge yet.

We already have a homebrew breakout/Arkanoid style game called Crazy Brix that is in the Atariage store. Crazy Brix is a great Breakout/Arkanoid style game.

Actually I was thinking about holes in the original 58 game library, so even though I knew of Crystal Quest, I didn't include it.

However, somehow I wasn't aware of Crazy Brix. It looks very interesting and it might end up being my first homebrew purchase! :)

Oh, and good thought with the pinball game.

  2. Let's see:

A good Breakout/Arkanoid style game (sorry Jinx)

A good football game (sorry RSF)

A ninja platformer in the same vein of Ninja Gaiden or Shinobi

A strategy game of some sort

Another Mario like platformer (we got Scrapyard Dog)

Another Zelda like adventure game, maybe even a follow up to 2600 Adventure (we got Midnight Mutants and to a degree Dark Chambers)

It would've also have been nice to have:

More original games, such as what we saw at the end of the systems life

Some games based on licensed products of the day (TV shows, Movies, Toys). We almost got Missing in Action.

A better beat em up than Double Dragon

And finally how about the following sequels:

    Ballblazer II

Food Fight 2:Charlie Chuck Chucks Back

    Dig Dugger

Ninja Hockey: A Ninja Golf Prequel

  3. Welcome Tartfox!

I agree with what has been said: Get the Edladdin Seagull 78 adapter!!!

Right now, I do not believe Possible Mission has Pokey, nor does it save scores.

Standard 7800 games cannot save scores long term on the cartridges, however, I believe with the Atari Expansion Module, you can save high scores on some games:

  4. Yep, I agree also. I found this one in the latest Retro Junk box that routed around, now I know where it came from :P. Phil - "Man this is so MEH!, I know lets put it in the Retro Junk Box and share its Mehness!"

Of course, i love space invaders and Qix so this little guy has a home on my shelf :P plus I like the clickity buttons and joysticks (ask Phil, he knows I have this thing for Clickety Switches :P )

    Another great video!

Thanks Willie! Actually I still have this one, but it would be a cool Retro Junk Box addition!

  5. I'm looking for feedback for the next episode of the Atari 7800 Game By Game Podcast (you can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, YouTube or use this feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/78gbg )

What are your memories and/or thoughts on Barnyard Blaster & Ikari Warriors on the 7800?

    post-40263-0-26962100-1452573856_thumb.jpg

Also, how would you rate them? I use a system of 4 choices (From Best to Worst):

Hall of Fame Game (Top 5 game on the system)

    Solid Game

    "Meh" Game

Trash Game (Bottom 5 game on the system)

These games will be covered on Episode 25

You can also e-mail text or audio to [email protected]

If you get it in by Friday, it should make the show, but late submissions sometimes get squeezed in too, so send it even if it's late.

Just keep it family friendly :)

You can also send feedback on previously covered games or the system itself.

  6. When's your deadline for submission???????????

A bit up in the air due to a crazy weekend.

Friday night should guarantee it being included in the next episode, but later entries may still make it in.

Worse case scenario, entries that arrive too late will just be included in the following episode.
