  1. I'm still confused about Toys "R" Us-I checked their website last night, and couldn't even find a listing for the word Colecovision.
  2. Here's some footage of games from the Colecovision Flashback: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x6-rM3Bqa1U Don't ask me how this person got this footage; it's just someone I subscribe to on YouTube. I've never owned a Colecovision but the quality looks great to me.
  3. Yeah, I've heard that it depends on the viewing angle of the TV. I know about the RGB to SCART to HDMI deal, but that's obviously not what was being used in that CNET video. That XRGB Mini converter looks really nice, but it costs over $300.00 on Amazon.
  4. I don't think they did that for this video. At least, there's no evidence that they did.
  5. Like in this video, for example: I don't get it-there's no lag in the gameplay, and the picture looks beautiful-no pixelization, and like it's in a perfect aspect ratio. And the Atgames Genesis obviously doesn't come with HDMI out; just basic RCA cables, like you can see in the video. So, how do you get older consoles, just using RCA cables, to run this well on an HDTV?
  6. OK, thanks Bill! That's good to know! I'm confused by the whole Coleco Holdings name-didn't Coleco go bankrupt in 1988?
  7. Is this system based on the original Colecovision hardware, or is it NOAC?
  8. Will the Colecovision Flashback be based on the original Colecovision hardware, or NOAC? I really hope it's not the latter! I can't make it to the Classic Gaming Expo this year, but I saw a video on Youtube that said that this product will debut at the expo.
  9. I just noticed this thread, and I'm interested in the Tandy 1000 RLX, which has a 3.25" floppy drives. Most of the games come on 5.25" disks. How do you copy a game on a 5.25" disk onto a 3.5" floppy disk?
  10. OK, so I contacted Best Electronics, and they said that the screws are $3.95, but they said that they have a minimum order policy of $20.00. I know other stores that do that, but this is just annoying. There's nothing else I'm interested in purchasing from them right now, and I'm not spending $20.00 on a screw set. Could I find the size of screws that the Jag needs at a hardware store? Because I live pretty close to a True Value hardware store. Unless the screws for the Jag are proprietary.
  11. That's an excellent price! I hope the place near me is as generous! It seems to me that AV jacks that are on the front or back of a CRT TV are less prone to this problem-they always feel firmer to me.
  12. I don't really have any experience with soldering, so DIY is out of the question. I'll have to get a quote from that repair shop. What I like about this TV is the excellent picture quality, just because it's not an older CRT. I've seen plenty of CRT TVs on Craigslist, but I have no idea how good or bad the picture quality or sound is on any of them. And I do not want a flat screen CRT, because I love light gun games.
  13. It's a Magnavox Smart Series CRT, about 7-8 years old, and it has two AV jacks-just the white and the yellow. When I plug AV cables from one of my consoles (and they all work) and turn it on, I just get a buzzing sound, with some gray lines that flash across the screen. If I hold the two AV jacks up with one hand, which I obviously can't do while gaming, then I get a perfect picture and sound. It takes a while for me to fidget with the jacks in order to get a stable enough picture and sound for me to be able to just sit back and game. Now, there is a TV repair place, and they do work on CRTs, not far from where I live. Would it be worth getting this TV fixed, or should I ditch it and just get another tube? I have NO idea what's wrong with it.
  14. On the bottom of the console, there are four screw holes-what size/length are the screws? I'd like to buy some new ones for my Jaguar.
  15. Here's a cool video of an adapter made for the Sega Light Phaser: I wonder if this guy sells these adapters? It wouldn't surprise me if he's a memember of these forums.
  16. I'm just wondering how well the light gun from Best Electronics works. They don't have any information about it on their website, other then the price.
  17. Thanks for the link! Does anyone own this light gun? Because I can't find any information online as to how much more accurate this light gun is compared to the XE light gun. I know Best Electronics are very well known and liked, but I'd like to know before I buy one.
  18. I like the NES Zapper, and I LOVE the Sega Master System light phaser gun, because of its (IMO) greater accuracy. So, compared to those two light guns, how accurate is Atari's XE light gun?
  19. Would an Apple iMac G3 be able to play the Shockwave games, and most other Macintosh CD-ROM games from the 1990s?
  20. Nice! So I take it that they're not rare enough to justify someone selling one for $2000.00?
  21. Just wondering if anyone on these boards owns one, and if it's worth getting. I know it has a port of Cat Trax, and Turtles (although I think Turtles was only released in Europe). How comfortable is the controller? Other then the attached joystick, it looks a lot like an Intellivision controller, and I found the INTV III controllers to be very comfortable and responsive.
  22. This looks awesome: I looked this unit on Ebay, but there was only one listing, and it was for about $2000.00!
