thanks but that guide doesnt make a lot of sense to me

thanks for the video, however to be clear i have not bought this or any other kit. I am making the mod on a plain pcp board. i have annotated the pic with what i know, i assume that 1 and 2 are audio in and gnd in and since they onyl connect to each other then i suppose it doesnt matter which is which but this means the audio in gets connected to the gnd in on the 2600 board - is that correct? and why does it need to go through the mod board? why not just run a wire directly from the 210 capacitor and the gnd connector on the bit the rf modulator used to be?

Hello, i am trying to mod an atari 2600 6 switch however have not been able to find a single guide that properly explains everything. I have got most of the way there using a mix of the following guides; http://mrpjevans.com/2014/05/composite-modding-the-atari-2600/ http://www.vintagegamingandmore.com/installation-guide-6-switch/ http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/monthly_02_2012/post-27961-0-48463400-1328939894.jpg http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/monthly_02_2012/post-27961-0-28558900-1328939923.jpg iv hooked everything up ok but i am stuck with the ground in and audio wires. if you look at the circuit diagram http://mrpjevans.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Transitor-mod-watermark.jpg you can see an audio, but is that out or in? Also, i can see a audio wire goes from the mod to the main board (not the rf modulator) - is that the wire shown in the cuircit diagram? looking at the pictures of someone elses mod there seem to be two wires on the board that connect to each other but nothing else - why not just run a wire directly between whatever these two wires connect to? also - what ARE they supposed to connect to. this guide http://www.vintagegamingandmore.com/installation-guide-6-switch/ shows a ground wire going into the RF modulator bit....but where does that come from? i think the easiest thing would be if some one could either show me a circuit diagram with all 7 wires shown and labeled or if someone could label the wires in the picture here? http://atariage.com/forums/uploads/monthly_02_2012/post-27961-0-48463400-1328939894.jpg thanks in advance

Until recently i thought i knew what all the various cables and connectors were however I recently got a nintendo colour tv game and attempting to find out what adapter i need has me pulling my hair out because people keep referring to to things with different names!!! So this is the TV socket I need to connect to (some people running around calling it coax) This is the connector that will fit in it This is the cable (RCA?) attached to the game (cannot be replaced) Every kind/forum/video says get a RCA to f type coax adaptor This is a f type coax adapter, it clearly isnt right Anyone have any idea where i can get an adapter that will work?

oo and in regards tot eh binatone - by paddles i mean bats - its a pong game and the bits you move to deflect the ball vibrate up and down and blur entirely on their own, almost like if you were flicking the controller back and forth very fast. If you move the controller the bats will move but not very well and all the time still vibrating at the same pace. You know when your trying to tune in the picture and you havent quite got it and the picture is fuzzy and jumps around a lot - its that only not the whole picture - just the bats

think ill try modding them, anyone know where i can get the components preferably in a nice kit? only place i can find is here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Atari-2600-7800-Composite-Video-Mod-Upgrade-Kit-DIY-/300592126324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fcafd974 and the price seems a bit steep - not to mention ti would take ages to arrive (im in the uk) I realize i could buy most of the components online however my electronics is a little sketchy - i could probably figure out what resistance the resistors are from the stripes but im not even sure what the black thing is or how I would get a similar circuit board.

so iv got 3 crt's now, unfortunately i am only able to scan for channel on one of them None of the juniors worked A 2600 woody didn't work although without a power light im not even sure it turns on A binatone TV master MK4 DOES work except that the paddles are so flickery and unstable that playing is impossible - the annoying thing is that the rest of the picture is perfect and clear, only the paddles vibrate uncontrollably. Any chance the TV is just crap or is there likely to be some problem or another with all the consoles? My last, last ditch attempt will be to try and install a composite video mod on the woody or a junior or both and see if that helps.

havnt been able to pick up a crt.....do you thing putting in a av mod would resolve/bypass the issue?
-
its connected directly to the tvs aerial connector - no switch box, no adapters I'll try changing channels but iv been fiddling with the channel fine tuning settings and the best picture is still fuzzy and b&w. ill have to see if i can pick up a mini crt at a car boot tomorrow : /

hello, I have three 2600 juniors and they all display an image in black and white (regardless of colour switch) and fairly fuzzy. One of them does get colour buts its a brilliant multicolour rainbow rows vertically down the screen, tho it flicks to b&w on joystick movements. im sure its not the cable that's the issue as i have tried a few. I am using a flat screen tv - could that cause this kind of problem? I cant check on a crt atm. I've tried cleaning the consoles and contacts on consoles and games and tried multiple games.
