  1. Hi everybody, I played a really cool arcade game at a hockey arena a while back called Loki. I believe it's from 1983 and was only released in the arcade form. You were a gorilla who spit fireballs or threw coconuts or something along those lines. It was kinda cross between Adventure Island and Contra since it was a lot of shooting stuff, but you also had a lot of running, jumping, platforms, trampolines, that kinda stuff. Is this game really obscure? I can't find any information about it online. I really want to play the rom on MAME but I can't get it to work. Does anybody have a working version? Any help is appreciated. Adam P.S. If the mention of the rom is frowned upon here then I'd be happy to edit it out.
  2. Are you looking for MVS or AES stuff? I used to have an MVS unit but moved and sold the entire arcade machine. I have some carts left over from that. They are: Metal Slug(comes with mini marquee) $40 Metal Slug 2 $40 Metal Slug 4(bootleg but works fine) $15-20 Cyber-Lip $30 Mutation Nation $20 I don't have any money but would definitely be interested in a trade. I put the prices that I paid for the games next to them; these are also the prices they generally go for on ebay. This comes out to about $140-150, which is about the same as your lot. I'm interested in getting another Jaguar to have for Tempest and AvP(and also to try and make my own rotary!). Let me know if you'd be interested. Adam
  3. The best Batman game by far was the adventures of batman and robin for genesis...duh! That was such a great 2 player sidescroller. Check it out if you haven't. As far as spiderman games... Ever play Spiderman and Xmen? I think it was super nintendo. That was kinda a weird one. But it was decent.
  4. Hey guys, I have an N64 with a z64 that I might be willing to sell or trade. It is similar to the Doctor V64 and CD64 and other backup systems that were made for the N64. However, this one uses zip disks which is pretty cool since all you have to do is plug it into your zip drive to throw on save states, roms, etc. It can also be used to backup your games in really only a matter of seconds. Also unlike the V64 it is very user friendly. Check out http://n64.icequake.net/mirror/www.softidea.com/Z64/ if you want to know a little more about it. As far as trades go I'm most interested in Neo Geo stuff right now. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks! -Adam
  5. PMed you, Starscream. Tempest, thanks for the reply but unfortunately I've never been into fighting games. If you come across any shooters or Double Dragon/Streets of Rage types of games let me know. Oh, also Crossed Swords. I really want that one! -Adam
  6. Nobody has any of the MVS carts I'm looking for? Anything in the way of shooters or beat em ups..
  7. Hey guys, my roommate and I have decided we would love to have a MAME machine. Unfortunately we're probably not good enough with computers to set one up. Does anybody have a prebuilt setup they'd be willing to sell(or I can trade some and give cash as well)? Also looking for arcade machines, so just let me know what you've got. Thanks! PM me or post here. EDIT: Well it looks like we found a great deal on a local Neo Geo arcade system($250 and aerofighters 3 is included!), so now we of course need more neo geo games. Not looking to spend a fortune, though. Just looking for some fun games that aren't going to cost me an arm and a leg. If you have a good MAME setup or arcade games still let me know. Thanks. -Adam
  8. http://seattle.craigslist.org/zip/132134434.html Atari 520ST with two Atari monitors and 5 large boxes of discs and software, which almost completes the Atari 520ST collection. This sounds pretty crazy awesome for anybody looking for this stuff. If someone wanted to pay shipping and some extra for me to go get it and ship it I may be willing, but mostly posting as a heads up. Worthwhile? -Adam
  9. One of my favorite games: Winback: Covert Ops (N64) It got good reviews, but it came out so late nobody knew about it. I never played the PS2 version. Blackthorne (Genesis/GBA) Loaded (PSX) I loved this game back in the day. It looks not so great these days, but it still can be fun.
  10. I seriously hope that is a joke. 996275[/snapback] lol of course. I just made you fear for humanity, didn't I? :-p
  11. Isn't there a way to play ps2 games on a ps1?
  12. Hey, I found this on Craigslist near me: Working Magnavox Odyssey 2 Game system. Missing TV connection box. Games included: Wall Steet, Quest for the rings, Blockout, Football, Speedway, Skiing, Golf, Armored Encounter, UFO, KC Muchkin, Smitherines, Alien Invaders, and computer intro. ($35) http://seattle.craigslist.org/ele/123493681.html I'm not too knowledgeable on values of older systems(I was only born in 1986 afterall :-p), so is this a steal or just a meh kinda thing? Any insight is appreciated! -Adam
  13. Yup they've been $150 since before the slim ps2 released, because that was 150 when it released. That was many months ago. I'm guessing around 100 on ebay for a used system with no games.
  14. Hey guys, based on what I've read, Vextrex's are pretty popular but kinda rare. Someone has a boxed unit with 18 games for 275. I have no idea if this is worthwhile or not, but just thought I'd share it. http://seattle.craigslist.org/ele/110989410.html -Adam
  15. I don't really blame Trip Hawkins for selling off this technology. They got $100 million out of the deal, which is definitely a lot more than they would've made from the thing. I'm not very educated at all when it comes to this stuff when compared to the more hardcore types, but I'm guessing the M2 would've flopped big time. It would've released around the same time as the ridiculously popular psone, and of course Nintendo 64. It would've been just as overlooked as the original 3DO; and not to be controversial or anything, but I bet just as crappy. I would definitely like to see a real game on a working unit though, nothing has ever surfaced as far as I've seen. -Adam
  16. That's awesome...Have you tried it out or know anybody that has?
  17. Zen Intergalactic Ninja is a pretty cool game, I think. It had great graphics since it was so late in the NES's life. I don't think I've ever heard anyone mention it, so I thought I'd go ahead and throw it out there. -Adam
  18. Man I never knew jesus could be so hilarious! I would've kept going to church if I did :-\
  19. Haha, yeah I definitely believe that.. If you check a recent article on x-entertainment.com you'll see something about the smurfs cereal making people have blue crap.. That's definitely a shade I never want to experience :-\ -Adam
  20. Ah I know how you feel... There are several varieties of the "limited time only" food that I miss from my childhood.. Let me know if contacting the company doesn't work. -Adam
  21. Crap, you really caught me broke, otherwise I would so buy this.. Not interested in trading for any DS, PS2, or GC games are you? -Adam
  22. Wow dude, day late dollar short... I JUST had one with like 10 games and 9 mags with demo discs.. Sorry you didn't get here just a few days earlier -Adam
  23. I'm looking more for offers at this point. Take a look at some auctions on ebay and maybe try to get an idea that way. Thanks for the interest. -Adam
