adjusting b> to something like 78-99 will fix the auto-jump problem. if b>99 then b=0

Well, don't include the "Gravity Included!!" line or the "Here's an easy way..." part. It worked fine for me, as I just deleted it all and then pasted it. Here's the dl, though. default.bas

There is an ST version that CJ could prolly flip over to the Jag. The frame rate isn't too bad compared to the Amiga version (there is a hack somewhere that improves the Amiga's poor frame rate, though), and it has pretty good graphics.

Atari 2600 3rd party games: Coleco or Activision?
Papa replied to RandomPerson's topic in Poll Forum
I agree that Smurfs is a good game, although I voted for Activision due to their plethora (thanks El Guapo) of quality games and their support for programmers. The name itself is a form of activism from a time when programmers were being dropped out of the credits, so to speak. I read here (on one of those cute little factoids) that Colorado Leather grunted out turds for the 2600 to sway folks towards the up and coming Colecovision. I actually liked DK for the VCS better than the arcade version as a kid because it was easier. Today I use several factors in deciding and find the Activision lot more appealing. Time Pilot and Zaxxon are probably my favorite from Coleco. Frontline is pretty fun. My wife loves Carnival. My Activision list is pretty big. I love H.E.R.O, Ghostbusters, Rampage, Double Dragon, Commando, Kung Fu Master, Pitfall II, Fishing Derby (the wife loves that one, too), and quite a few others. A hard decision. -
Thanks! I just activated the extra cars in the game and am sorting out some things here and there. I may upload another update pretty soon.

Gorgeous art! I'd like to see what you've done so far. I may have to put a sunset in the game now, that looks too cool!
-
Yeah, with 'background' you change them and I think it does more than that. I don't think you can have the two varying color sets at once.
-
You can change the background over and over with solid colors, or the playfield line per line horizontally. I'm pretty sure you can change the background to behave like the playfield, too.

A Review of Quality Controller Options For The 2600
Papa replied to Skippy B. Coyote's topic in Atari 2600
I use all kinds of joysticks for my Atari systems. You can use a Sega pad, or wire up an Atari PCB to arcade buttons and sticks for FUN! Atari games are so much easier to play with arcade sticks and switches. Some other sticks that I like a lot are Gem sticks, Wico Command controllers, Quickshot Turbo sticks, The Sega Arcade power stick, and the newer AT-Games sticks are really clicky and some people might like that. -
The Harmony cart is the only way for me to test my games on real hardware! You can enjoy games like Princess Rescue, DK23Arcade, DK VCS, Pacman 8K, Galactopus, Lost Cat, Titan Axe! All the hacks like Commando V2, Galaxian Arcade, Rampage V2, Double Dragon Arcade, Xenephobe Arcade (lot's of character mods to choose from)!! Test run betas and WIPS like GizzleWap, Diamond Drop, FlappyZoe, Run Out, Spies in the Night, Sword of Iffrit! So many it's hard to keep up! It helps being able to keep your whole library on one cart to reduce wear and tear on your thirty-plus year old system, aaaand you can watch the Celerymovie animated series! THANKS!!

FUN! Love it! Great work!

Gemini paddles? If they're the ones that come with the joystick attached then they have no 'pot' assembly or greased areas to clean. Mine have a steel feeler that glides along the same board as the button and stick. I just found an image of what I think you're talking about, though. They look exactly like Atari paddles but have raised lettering. Perhaps they were reassembled wrong? I've used the cleaning method on eight paddles all with excellent (better than ever, really) performance! I tested each one with Kaboom! and found them to play perfectly! You may just need to check the assembly and make sure everything is right again!?!

Thanks! I really like play-testing it. Here's a couple of labels I'm considering for it... I dig the camel poking his head out of the frame.
-
Here are some ideas for cartridge labels for Titan Axe... Watcha think? I love the pink label! I think it would look awesome stacked up with other Atari games.
-
Oh yeah! This is getting better and better! I really like the title screen and the gameplay is excellent. This one should be a cart!
-
Wow! People were a LOT more appreciative of homebrew games back in '07!! I may need to build that time machine after all! Of course if I'm gonna do that I might as well take my games back to the early eighties and transform the labels on all our machines here in the future to... ...ATARI!! P.S. Thanks for all the 'likes' from everyone on this project! It means a lot to me. I'm about to get the screen on my new programming computer nice and clean so I can crack those knuckles and add more to Run Out!!
