    Has anyone done a complete commented disasm of Yars' Revenge? I think a Title screen and a better "inbetween levels/lives" screen would be pretty cool.

    >EA NO loss. Nintendo had a scuffle with EA over the Content management system. EA wanted Origin to be the primary content delivery protocol for the Wii U. Iwata saw that for the BS it was and told them to scram.

    I think Doom satisfies a lot of the criteria for a fun game. every skill level is different monster placements, the AI is different each time, and you can't complete the levels the same way twice.

    Thanks, EA, for making my thesis this much easier. I was looking for content about how DRM hurts consumers, and then you throw this atomic bomb of a f*ck up. I am forever grateful!

    what the Wii U needs: A GOOD racing game a GOOD castlevania game in the style of the PSX versions/later FC versions (oh yeah!) a Pathfinder/DnD style game. the Gamepad could be for the DM, the 5+ wiimotes for the players. Built-in quest creator/editor, with user-created scenarios available. That last one would win all over the place.

    the samsung LED TV, I'll find the serial number. it has a game mode and a contrast mode that matches exactly what my CRT looked like. PROTIP! RF signal and Composite signal is differently interpreted on mine! (note to self, get an atari composite mod or a good VCR)

    Not to burst bubbles, but my LED TV has a "low latency game mode" which works with the zapper.

    I like this a lot. I'd love to see all the Nintendo "pong" console games ported to the 2600 some time, too.

    Then I agree with you. How about an option to continue playing, or end the game? that way you can have a "normal play" high score, or you can keep going for a challenge high score. Or... Better yet, have a choice at the Title screen! *squee*

    Pff. There goes 80% of the most awesome games in the SNES library if we went that route. Also, I know this isn't arcade-authentic, but the NES "theme" through the attract mode is a favorite of mine. maybe an easter egg to squeeze that in?????
