I'm preserving this as a snapshot of 8-bit video game legacy. Specifically the "Reminiscence" period as it will become known to historians. CollectorVision development 2019: (shown: Tursi and Matthew180)

The place I bought my first TI-99/4A is fading into history.

The United States? Oh, sorry, I had only read the topic title. My heart still sinks a bit when I drive past our former Atari dealer location, ATCOM, in Thousand Oaks. -
How did you make the OS disk?

Found Amstrad CPC 464, Now I need more games for it! :)
towmater replied to Iwantgames:)'s topic in Wanted
You might consider the DDI3 SD card cartridge from sellmyretro, there's quite a bit of floppy versions of 464 software. There is a version with extra ram as well. -
Ten years? I gather you are right, ironically, because you are wrong. There are moving parts on an SD card, so it may indeed have this short stated lifespan. Incidentally I swapped my Adam keyboard with one of the NOS Archer replacements that show up on eBay from time-to-time, the keyboard looks and functions much better than it had when I used the yellowed original.

So, was "TOS 2.06" source code from Atari and just published by "B", or did B create TOS 2.06? I know that doesn't address the heart of the issue, but if the source was just Atari's work then B had no real rights to it anyways.

Not really.

Dave Jones, where are you when we need you? -
Maybe a free bump, but I would add that these work also on late model Apple II's, emulate a hard drive s well, and I currently have one hooked to Amax on an Amiga 1200.

Why is it that so many Intellivision owners kept the boxes, vs. 2600 owners?

How many Saturn games work with this? I read somewhere that it was only a few. -
Shut up and take my monkey?

Depends on the version, Spectrum +2 grey just uses a wall-wart.

I modded the mini to the higher clock speed, with no ill effects, seeming as though the clocking had been a marketing move intended to make people pay more while Apple itself had no different cost for manufacturing.

This is cool, does anyone else use one? You put an iso on the hard drive partition, and it automatically mounts it as a physical CD-ROM device on another drive letter. It's much easier than any software solutions, and overcomes any security checks that ask for the disc to be inserted before running a game. I thought I'd test it quickly on Alpha Centauri, then four hours later...

I think it is more like 7.3 volts, but yes, the batteries and charger are always connected, to add more juice I plug in the ac cord without disconnecting anything from the handhelds. I made the mistake of trying to replace the Nomad screen, it is undamaged but I have yet to find a cheap 3.5" screen that works, even with a video amp transistor added, the screens are so cheap that I've been through three bad ones already, I am going to have to bite the bullet and buy one of the pricier screens with fingers crossed. The Game Gear, though, has rarely needed a recharge, running an overdrive and McWill screen.

This deserves at least one view. Admittedly, it was extremely poorly titled, but the hack does work extremely well.

OT : 3D Printer owners, I need some information please
towmater replied to Omega-TI's topic in TI-99/4A Computers
Yeah, it's totally possible, and has been since 1990. https://formlabs.com/blog/creating-camera-lenses-with-stereolithography/ I wish you didn't have to buy a new tray when you switch materials.
