  1. As I understand it. All the Atari model numbers are all divisable by 1. :-)
  2. Oh that. Thats a Black Semi Spheroid Dounut Thingy. It uh ... keeps you from uh ... becoming uh sterile. yea thats it steriile.
  3. Ok I'm pulling this out of a deeeeep daaaarrrrrk memory. If memory serves the rana drive ran a little faster (RPM). The games that used RPM to find the right sector "11" on the next track would get the wrong sector and the game would not load. Could this be the problem Noel B
  4. I also had an ATR 8000. I hacked a copy of Kapro Word Star to run on it. Inverse video was a Biatch. you had to set up Word Star to push an ADM-3A data terminal then change the way Word Star dealt with invers video. The ATR8000 was built in Grand Prarie, TX I forget the name of the owner, really nice guy, hated to see the companey go under. The interface would push many different types of drives including 8". It would push 8 at onetime. The software that came with it would format something like 36 differant formats including ZORBA. WOW I haven't thought about this stuff in a long long time. Thanks! Noel B
  5. WOW Readin U-guys makes me wish I was younger and stayed with it longer. Noel B.
  6. I don't know about that product. But I did run eight drives simultaniousty ranging from 8" to 3.5" with and ATR 8000 built in Grand Prarie TX. It also contained a Z80 processer which allowed me to run CPM usind the Atari 800 to emulate a ADM-3A dataterminal. it also gave me a standard serial port and paralell port, although on an edgecard configuration. Noel B
  7. Might consider upgrading the power supply also Noel B
  8. If nothing else use a bulk tape eraser or big figin magnet. Then reformat on the PC TTFN Noel B
  9. Its not how big your tool is its how you use it. An 3E AWACS ( the one with a rotodome / frisbee on top) used to have an 8 bit prosser with only two meg of ferite core memory. And you would not believe the things it could do. Noeljb
  10. Ok its been a long time. Thats not the TOS is it I have some older TOS. I think I remember now it was like a co-prosseser right I live in East Texas. If you live close enough or are willing to pay the shipping. I will give you the two 1040s I have. You must take it all, Hard drives (two 110 meg), monitors (2color 1 Mono), "B" drive, Clock, tweety board, and software and docs out the ars. You must promise to give it a good home.
