  1. Few additions... Audio Visual Demos.dsk
  2. Definitely interested. None of my "classic" portables have any kind of storage, although I've eyeballed drives for my Tandy 100. I'd LOVE to have something for my CC40.
  3. Great stuff! I'll put it together and post a new image after I've recovered a bit from abdominal surgery yesterday.
  4. Do you have a disk image of the Star Trek music? Or is it on whtech somewhere?
  5. Thought about another collection that might be good to pull together for my show in Etown next year - in addition to a disk of great games, how about a disk of great demos? I've pulled a few of my favorite song/graphic/speech demos (and being slightly self-serving in including my own "Phantom of the Opera" program). I've definitely got to include Bert & Ernie. I've converted Gettysburg Address to use XB and the Text-to-Speech tool (but man is that sucker looooooooooong loading!) Do you have favorite music/speech/graphic demos, loadable from XB or EA5, that might be included? Demos.dsk
  6. Ditto...v9t9 got me back to the 4A in the late 90s. Nice thing about RetroPie is that EmulationStation provides a decent front end, although most of the themes omit the 4A. There's also no easy way to insert disks from that front end, but of course the command line is available.
  7. Nothing I can really add, but I'm glad for a positive outcome.
  8. Hoping someone can help...apparently, in addition to the classic Night Mission, Craig Miller released a set of games for the 4A. They're reviewed in an April 94 Lima newsletter. I've tried but failed to find a couple of these that sounded really good - Pharoah's Tomb and Blackbeard's Treasure. Any leads?
  9. EmulationStation for the Pi has a version of TI99sim as an experimental entry. I talk it up to the local geeks every chance I get.
  10. IIRC, some Atarisoft games (and maybe others) required joysticks, but most TI games allowed for keyboard control. Don't hit the FCTN key as you normally would trying to used ESDX as arrow keys - you just hit the letter key itself.
  11. Getting back to the subject...a few of the suggestions for a "second volume" would actually span several disks (maybe two games per...so it enters "what's the point" territory for me). Miner 2049er is a great fit - 3 EA 5 files. The Comprodine stuff is all fantastic - Warzone, Backstein, Living Tomb - but they look to be too big. I'll poke around my collection for other EA5 titles, but keep suggestions coming.
  12. On the Mac version, at least, I get the 8 slots, but not the "sub slots" for the disk drives. Weird. Sorry...I should have sent this to a new thread.
  13. OK, that worked. Must have been a problem in an older version of MAME. I've got a ticket opened with the QMC folks on the missing disk drive drop-downs (ahhh...alliteration....)
  14. Yeah...I get the black title screen, disk activity, then the screen clears (to black) with a flash of a blue bar in the bottom third or so of the screen and nothing beyond. Other games work fine (as does my joystick emulation from the keyboard, including "up"). I hadn't updated MAME since the changes with the ioport. So I did that, and (of course) now I can't figure out how to get my disk drives to show up. BWG is inserted in slot 8, but the drop downs for the drives no longer appear in QMC2. Is there a command line you could send me so I can check against that?
  15. Thanks! I should be able to book the venue in the next few weeks, so I'll get a date firmed up. Spread the word! This should be a fun Saturday.
  16. Well, then I suppose there's something about WZ2 that MAME doesn't like. WZ1 plays just fine, but WZ2 hangs after the title screen. And yeah, Win10 killed compatibility with most of my GOG games. And it's a pain in the neck to have to roll back the update every time (because even though I've hacked my registry, the Content Creator update still gets downloaded).
  17. I love BOOT. Only problem is that it's about 48 sectors (24 each for files BOOT and BOOU). My LOAD program is 10 sectors. The first collection has 19 sectors free, so I'd have to drop a game to make BOOT fit.
  18. I've never found a copy of Warzone II that worked. It requires the original Warzone, of which I have an image, but I've never managed to get that one going. For some of these that have an XB loader, I'll have to study what the loaders do. I don't really like the idea of a "loader of loaders". I'd prefer a single DSK1.LOAD that lets me just boot each game directly. Needless to say, that'll take some time. Currently, managerial accounting is kicking my ass, so I have to squeeze this in between study time.
  19. Space Station Pheta seems to have some very interesting kind of protection. TI Image Tool wouldn't copy two files because they have special characters (periods?) in the file names. Funnelweb's Disk Review copied without complaining, but the resulting disk refuses to load. The image I was trying to copy from boots, but gets stuck at the "Insert master disk" screen. I'd have gotten this from WHTECH. If anyone has a copy that works, can you post? Ditto if you have an XB bootable or EA5 loadable copy of Miner 2049er...
  20. LOL, fine. I'll put together a second volume. I'll have to go digging to see if I can find Miner 2049er. I know I have Creepers and Space Station Pheta. Any other requests while I'm at it? Reason I initially went with EA5 games is because they tend to not take up much disk space. D/F80 and games with considerable XB components can really burn through the space. But I quite like the Terr-Ware titles (Blackjack, Poker, and Wheel of Fortune) so they might end up on vol 2.
  21. 19 sectors free now. . Shamus and Ms. Pac-Man might be droppable, though, to make room for Creepers.
  22. Nice! I'll have to play around with that.
  23. Added Spot Shot and Jumpy. BestGames.dsk
