I had the same problem... I'd completed everything prior to Broken Steel, so by the end of it I was only something like level 25/26. Had to jump from place to place killing spawned enemies to work up to level 30. It was still quite entertaining though.

I'll probably get it, but I'm not paying any more than 400 points!

I've finished all 3 DLC missions and in my opinion Broken Steel is by far the best of the DLC. I'm hoping that the rumoured 'Point Look' DLC turns out to be true, because I'd rate Fallout 3 as one of my favourite games of all time!

I enjoyed what I can remember of the original Red Dead Revolver. The trailer for the new one looks awesome though. I played through Gun a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. Nothing spectacular, but it's the best Western type game I've played. Admittedly I haven't played Call of Juarez yet.

I paid 1200 points for Deathtank last week.... and looking back I don't know why I did - I don't think it was worth it. I don't mind paying a higher price for add ons like Shivering Isles and Lost & the Damned, but for regular old arcade games there should be some kind of price cap. Like... 800points.... ?

DC controller hurt my hands after playing for a long time, more so than any other pad I can remember, but I did like it. Overall I say 360 pad because it's almost perfect. The only thing I'm not fond of it the shoulder buttons.

I hate achievements that require stuff like 50,000 kills online. Chances are, I'm not going to have interest in a game long enough to ever get an achievement like this, but I guess that would depend on the game. ALSO - games that don't stack achievements! For example Gun. If you complete it on 'Insane' you get an achievement. But to then get the achievements for Hard, Medium & Easy you have to complete it three more times! Ballbags to that!

Is FIFA09 the most frustrating game in history?
IronMongeR replied to Tickled_Pink's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
I've found it to be the best football game in... years! Wipes the floor with Pro Evo Soccer, and imo has a really good learning curve. For a FIFA beginner (as I was) it's easy to get to grips with the basics, but beyond that there is a pretty deep game with complex tricks and tactics; so much so that the manual doesn't even list all the different moves. The great thing is, it's still possible to have a challenging game with only a basic knowledge. Personally I wouldn't recommend even bothering with an online game against random opponents until you're competent against the A.I. Start on the easiest difficulty and work your way up. Eventually passing, crossing and shooting will all feel second nature. After that try some different formations, tactics, subs etc to play towards your preferences. -
After playing Dead Space a lot recently I found the controls a bit awkward - i.e not being able to move and shoot. But all RE games have been like this so no doubt I will get used to it once again in the full game, I don't recall having a problem with it in in RE4.

On XBLA the only game I've played online much has been Worms, which was awesome.

I've started having problems with my Falcon 360, a couple of times today graphics have gone all fuzzy and pixelated. This is my 3rd 360, and to be honest it's starting to become a pain in the ass having to replace it once a year. Luckily I can swap it where I work so I don't have to send it away, but still, it's bloody annoying!!! I'll give it a few more days to see if the problem gets worse, but it doesn't look too promising. I guess this is an excuse to get a Jasper unit... that should see me through another 12 months.

Using Ray Liotta's voice in Vice City was awesome! Really added something to the general atmosphere of the game.

I got the update on Friday, and I quite like it. I installed Fallout 3 but can't say I've noticed any difference apart from the less noise from the dvd drive. Though to be fair, loading times on Fallout are pretty good anyway. Perhaps I need to try a few other games.

Lots of games have been blamed for 'causing' the RROD. I remember the same being said when Crackdown came out. Chances are if the console's gonna break, it's gonna break, regardless of what you play.
-
I don't watch movies on the 360 because it's so noisey, also one of the reasons I haven't bought many HD-DVD's. But I'd like a Blu Ray player and I love wasting money on crap, so I'll probably get one if it does actually get made.

What Xbox 360 game are you currently playing?

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise. It's so similar to the original, I almost can't be bothered with it. -
Best Medal Of Honor game on the PS2?
IronMongeR replied to Ross PK's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I used to love playing the original Playstation game in deathmatch mode with secret characters. There was a velociraptor and I think Winston Churchill! More recently I played through MOH: Airbourne which was mediocre, especially compared to the CoD series. -
I had Bioshock and Assface Creed faceplates but sold them on ebay. Never really liked the look of them when fitted to the console, but I guess it's different if you're collecting them.

Avgn videos are usally a good laugh, which is what they are intended to be. He even says himself that they shouldn't be taken seriously, and that he exaggerates the flaws for the sake of the video.

OMG! DiCaprio to star as Nolan Bushnell!
IronMongeR replied to Gregory DG's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I'm sure this will be awesome! Leo is one of my favourite actors, he doesn't often get involved with crap movies. -
Forza 2 and PGR 4 are the best racers in my opinion, followed by Test Drive, Dirt & PGR3. All the (recent) Need for Speed games are awful - avoid like the plague!
