[Stereo on Lynx 2 - Observation about Xenophobe]

Chequered Flag has great stereo sound in the game itself. You can hear the cars in your respective ear depending on which side they are.

 

Handy when your playing a mate you can hear which side their car is coming from behind and try to block them, (that's if they don't then crash into you)!

[Alpine Games final run]

I got my copy of Alpine Games the other day.

 

I must say I'm very impressed with... well everything! Cool packaging, amazing cart and down to the important bit, a great game too!

I must say I'm a complete sucker for a damm good driving game so I'd say a big YES for a Lotus/Outrun/XJ220 style game! I'm sure you'd get a great deal of support from the Lynx community if you did decide to go for it.

After reading this topic I have to say it's a pretty exciting time to be a Lynx enthusiast! I'd absolutely love one of these! Amazing stuff!

[Lynx Speaker (upgrading)]

Funnily enough Songbird it was when I was painting the Garage, I had my phone plugged into a set of small battery powered Creative Speakers that gave me the idea for improving the internal Lynx speaker as the Creative speakers themselves are about 40mm each.

When I get finally McWill's screen installed and I have a go on my TV, I'm going to plug the audio straight into my amp. So basically I'm going to have a over the top picture coupled with over the top audio from my Lynx... I can't wait!

[Lynx Speaker (upgrading)]

Hello!

 

I'm new here but have been lucky enough to have a Lynx when it first came out and then swapped it for a Lynx 2 which I still have plus 4 others.

 

Of them 2 are broken and I've got an original replacement screen off E-bay for one of them and I've just got in the post this weekend McWill's amazing replacement screen which is going to get my first Lynx 2 back into action in a major upgrade way! (I can't wait)!

 

Now this has got me thinking of upgrading the rather tinny sounding speaker inside the Lynx to something more substantial at the same time. I've had a quick look on E-bay Google etc and can find a nice 8ohm 40mm speaker but the problem is that it's 20mm in depth which is not going to fit! Doh!

 

I'm not going to give up just yet on the quest for improved audio but am throwing this one out to all of the Lynx aficionados to see if anyone else has upgraded the speaker or knows of a really good sounding replacement (well as good as you can get for a 40mm speaker).

 

I'm thinking of something like this except 8ohm or 16ohm and that actually fits!

Now having a Lynx with McWill's screen, better sounding audio and a Lynx Multi Cart would be as close as to the ultimate Lynx setup as I can think!
