Speakerhats might be one of those products where the name sounds cool, but in real life has little or no practical use.
Except that the name doesn't sound cool.

I don't think its cynical to point out the marketing fluff when the above isn't exactly addressed by the company. It's more like I'd like them to do their homework. If this was a car, would people accept just a concept drawing/render made by a designer before an engineer checked that it is viable?

I want to invest in DALE!

"Setsuna Physical".. sounds like a weird citrus.
I know - that would be satsuma

... did Nintendo pull this game? It looks like good SMB clone!
Even so... Whilst the first stage looks rather like 1-1 of SMB, I think the later stages do not so much, except that in style it remains a scrolling platformer.

Gauntlet can't be made commercially available through the store because of the active trademark.
But I will update the cart label with a higher-res version for those who want to assemble one-off carts.
Golden Legends was supposed to be in the AA store ca. November, I think. However, I've only seen it as a 'coming soon' item.

Ugh. A lot of talk about Brad of B. E. again, including both bickering and defense of same.
As a fellow who's done business with him and see talk from others who have, I can just say that he's a little kooky; I mean no disrespect thereby. If you can deal with it, then support Best; and if you can't, then walk away.

You can always start a new venture and call it Telstar Trilobite. telstartrilobite.com is available.
(that just randomly popped into my head)
How about the Telstar Luddite

... I've seen too many political (and religious) discussions go off the rails where people get heated and start attacking one another. ...

That's just it. I try to stay away from fights. Sometimes I get sucked in because somebody pisses me off - this doesn't stem from differing views, but from belittling of mine or others'.

Sports games! Sports games always skyrocket in value!

It did for me... the first card I tried did not work at all; the second worked fine.
That's useful to know. So what was the one that didn't work, and what was the one that did?

I haven't been active for a while. Not due to disinterest but life. I have had some health problems, and although not life-threatening, they have been debilitating. And of course I have been busy, but also I've had some other personal things this year on top of it all. It's been the hardest year of my life since... well, I don't know. I may share later about it all on one of the non-public subforums. I think I am finally on the right track again, and back to Atari stuff some more.
...
Price will be $119 for a bare board and $129 for a board in a case. As of now there are no labels yet nor a manual of any kind. I will provide a way to contact me at the show in the coming days.Bully! I'm glad to hear you are "finally on the right track again." I've actually been a bit concerned about your health - while I don't know what issues you've had, your apparent lack of activity had me wondering if you were not well.
When available, I'll grab one, and the extra 10 USD for a case is well worth it. I can make my own label.

Unclaimed Baggage in Scottsboro, AL is an excellent source for DS games. Err, that is if you're near Scottsboro, which Plainfield clearly is not... But if you're ever in the neighborhood...

The box looks like the flag of Nova Scotia.

It looks like one listed in the AA archives : https://atariage.com/2600/archives/consoles.html
It's the 128-in-1 System. It reads "This is a 128-in-1 system from Australia. This may be an officially licensed product."

Any idea when we can get the Gauntlet cart from the AA store?
-
Not a huge amount of confidence in a release anytime soon when you get this whilst going to the website.
I've not had a problem with getting to their website at: http://ataribook.com/book/businessiswar/ But I see no updates; it seems dead as a door nail.
Then I noticed that at http://ataribook.com/book/(which was for the Business is Fun book) or any other link from /businessiswar I get the same problem.

I'm glad I found out about this Gauntlet project of yours, even if I did find it late in its development. On the plus side for me, that meant no waiting. Gauntlet always was one of my favorites since I discovered it in the arcades once upon a day. Thereafter, many hours spent on the game for C64 and NES, and I've not grown weary.

I picked up several 7800 carts a while ago. The last one of the bunch I grabbed was Karateka for somewhat between $1.50 and $3.00. [More recently I bought a PS3 so the missus so she can play a game she's been wanting. Which, while not $599, is still enough to curtail my game buying for a while.]

how did you get in touch with batari I've sent a message on here ages ago ! :-(
Sent batari a pm to confirm if the harmony is still being made and to confirm shipping info, no reply as yet, is anyone here in contact with batari?
Thanks for the info! Great news!
...
"Need to know more? Send a PM to batari on the Atariage Forums (preferred), or send an email to c9r over at hotmail with subject: harmony."
So I think if they advice us to contact them via the forum they should keep an eye on it.
I've never gotten Fred to respond to a direct email or a PM on the AA forums. It seems this is a common issue, but if I am reading correctly, apparently he's more responsive on Facebook. And I plan never to use Facebook.
However, I had no trouble at all when I actually ordered and soon thereafter received the Harmony cart. I recall seeing lots of thanks for the cart. from different people, and I don't remember any complaints about not getting it once ordered.

Absolutely agree on the double fire button to activate potions. I cannot make that thing work when I need it, and it goes off when I don't need it. Exasperating. I'm up for ideas if anyone has them.
...
... I'm curious if the joystick fire button is harder to double-click than the keyboard. I dont have a Harmony to play on hardware.
Ah, I see now. I'll try using the bombs this weekend.

H2
in Atari 7800
I don't recall any money taken yet as pre-orders for the H2....am I missing something???
...He should just offer money back if it does not work with your 7800.
...
Dauber:
I don't think anybody mentioned his taking any money heretofore. I believe "He should just offer money back if..." was hypothetical, meaning let them be sold with the understanding that there is a money-back guarantee.

It might be...I'd have to look at the code again.
Honestly though, I am not a huge pad fan so there's minimal interest on this end, even though I like the 2nd button aspect of it.
On a related topic, I have a question.
I am sure this is answered somewhere in this thread, but I couldn't find it. How do we use the bombs? I'm playing it on 2600 hardware with a standard joystick; the fire button is obvious, but how do I engage the bombs? Thanks.

I haven't logged on in ages... but then I saw this update pop up from Batari.
I would love to have a Concerto ... I won't be much help for testing, but as they become available for consumption, I'd spring for it. Sorry if that's not helpful, but at least Batari now knows I have an interest.
