Hi, Nick at 16/32 Systems has recently aquired some new stock including a MegaSTE Hard Drive Kit... http://www.1632-sales.zenwebhosting.com/ac..._Solutions.html That looks like it should contain everything you need (including the host adapter). Hope that helps, Richard.

VME graphic cards...what's the deal?
stevens replied to Gunstar's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Hi, I have a Matrix TC1208 VME graphics card in my TT and it works pretty well. NVDI supports the Matrix cards. The only problems I have had running in higher resolutions when the screen does not appear to refresh properly, but thats a driver issue. I have seen Matrix cards on german e-bay from time to time. But good luck getting one. I have seen these 'industry VME standard VME cards', and I can't see any reason why they would not work in an Atari but you would have to write your own driver. Not all that difficult if they can provide some sort of universal SDK for the card, but I have found these cards to be more expensive than hunting around for an old one specifically for the Atari. Richard. -
Hi, I usually run a combination of NVDI, Magic, and Jinnee which gives me a really great environment to run applications. I would try mint, but have never had much luck getting it running reliably. (The problem most probably being my setting up skills as apposed to any actual problems with Mint!) Cheers,

Hi, Any chance we could see some kind of example content of the site? It sounds good but I like to see what I am 'joining' before committing myself. Thanks, -
just spotted one of these on e-bay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...56&category=172 It should be just what you need to upgrade your ST. Richard.

Hello, Upgrading your ST can either be really simple and cheap OR quite annoying and expensive! It depends on what model you have.... If you have an STE you can simply buy some compatible 30 pin simm modules and pop them into the simm banks in your STE. Else you have an STF, FM, or just a plain ST which you have to buy special kits to add more ram. The most common kits were made by marpet and were pretty good. You can get either option by browsing e-bay, or try either B&C or Best Electronics. Upgrading an STE is certainly cheaper! I have known people to just buy an STE rather than try an upgrade their STFMs. Hope that helps, Richard.

stevens replied to Sauron's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
040.... no just a regular Falcon 030 with an Afterburner fitted with an 040 CPU. Wouldn't mind a prototype Falcon 040 though if anyone has one laying around Richard. -

How do I get past the big nasty at the end of wave 10? I have tried smart bombs, rapid fire, run & attack tactics, but what the hell do I need to shoot to kill the big baddy at the end of wave 10? Thanks, Richard.

I have only ever seen one for sale once, and it was on German E-bay. I think it went for a good couple of hundred quid. Also most remaining Atari dealers don't seem to advertise them for sale, so I would say they are very rare. I you find a source for them let me know, 'cos I would love to have one. Richard.
