  1. Do you have river raid? Those were most messed up for me. Color pot was the fix
  2. 65 LCD. Which is terrible. The 27" Trinitron is in the MAME cabinet but I plan on picking up a craigslist 25" or so
  3. I did. Had zero interest in any further pacs on the 2600 after playing the original.
  4. Hunters rarely pay for their meat
  5. I just picked up a heavy sixer Atari 2600. Seems in good condition aside from a couple issues. First is graphics, and I've attached a photo. Pitfalls graphics are fine in the playfield but the score and timer are garbled, as is the word Activision at the bottom. Hitting reset seems to change what is garbled. Sometimes the timer is then visible, sometimes it's all garbled. In space invaders, the ship I just shot had the explosion show to its left, not in the space it actually was. In joust an enemy completely disappeared. In Pac man the walls and background sometimes changed color really fast then were fine. The final issue, even though I could reset a current game that started, hitting reset would not start a game like asteroids. I could also not select a game variation. Thanks everyone.
  6. Pitfall II arcade is easily available in MAME. And if you can tolerate phone screen controls, Activision has released all their games on android and iOS. And probably most of them on Nintendo DS/GBA.
  7. I suppose I came off worse than I expected. Basically I meant these don't serve any functional purpose but it doesn't get in the way of my wanting them
  8. I personally didn't mind the game. It represented the arcade game fairly well in the sense that it was a mindless, shallow, thing muncher through a maze. The original Pac man was better than staring at walls but it's not exactly a fantastic experience for very long. I still played it often though. Still do occasionally on my MAME machine. It definitely has personality but doesn't keep me interested longer than a few boards
  9. There doesn't seem to be a point. Both to their existence and my need to own them
  10. They're both CRTs so the resolution will be fine. They don't have a "native" resolution. You get into problems with LCD TVs because they DO have a native resolution. And they're also usually huge. Even the 36 incher will probably have 3x the pixel density (for retro games) than the newer TVs. To be honest your main concern will be weight. Those TVs have their own moons.
  11. They don't ignore it as much as they separate it from regular Pac man so they can get you to buy both. Ms. Pac Man as a separate $5 DLC kinda shows that.
  12. The Jag has no moving parts. I would expect the survival rate to be pretty decent.
  13. Looks like Parcel is 13.38 and priority is 18.65. UPS quoted 35 bucks which makes no sense. They also said the post office was 65 which is mind blowing.
  14. Received my INTV and CV yesterday. Makes the FB set nearly complete, excluding the Genesis. I have most of the games I want on Sega anyway so I didn't feel the need. Same goes for Atari, really, but I kinda needed new controllers
  15. TxK for the Vita is amazing. It's the reason why I made sure my Mame cabinet has a spinner for the original Tempest.
  16. As of now the Colecos are the only system available at Dollar General. The useful controllers and seemingly higher percentage of games unique to the system probably helped the Intellivision
  17. Sounds good. Need to find out shipping costs and let you know the total
  18. I'm selling an extra Atari FB 5 with the wired controllers that I've only ever seen at Walmart. Bought it for my brother but we ended up getting him something else instead that could emulate more systems. Selling at price for 40 plus shipping. I know the wired controllers are much better than wireless and work great on the original system, so I wanted to offer it up to someone on here before returning it to the store. Box is new and unopened. I already have one of these and love the controllers, but don't need this.
  19. Bought this and the Intellivision from Dollar General for 20 each today. Was on the fence for either but couldn't pass up that price.
  20. I picked up the wired version at Walmart. As far as I could find that's the only place that carries that model.
  21. Not that I really have a good setup for it, but does Off Road/Iron Man Off Road keep track of progress? Played it in an arcade last night and it made me do my initials and full date of birth (year). What's fun is 1999 was the latest year it showed. Maybe next time I go back it will have my car fully loaded.
  22. If you want to stop being frustrated with this game, get Pinbot. That game is such a monster, specifically the left outlane, that every table afterwards will be a treat. I originally bought it because it was one of the couple tables I actually played as a kid. Well, they must have modified that lane because I don't remember it being so damn punishing. It's seriously flawed IMO. As far as straight down the middle (guessing your acronym), nudging works great to prevent that. Not sure which version you're playing on, but on the consoles (and Vita) it's easy. I'm not a fan of nudging on the phones/tablets.
  23. Those seem like fun games but I've tried Gauntlet Legacy and my machine, a 2006/7 Sempron 3100+, just can't handle it. Those games are around the same or more demanding I think. And I know the point of an arcade game is to pick up and play but every once in a while I like to be remembered...
  24. Adventure, for sure. Probably also Pac Man because while it was terrible, I didn't have any other options to play it. If I ever had gotten ahold of Pitfall that would've been it, but all I had in its place was Jungle Hunt, which got old after 2 minutes.
