  1. Yeah, Vid Grid is fun to play (especially in turns with mates) and one of the Jag CD crowd favourites at events and expos. Can't beat those 90's nostalgic tunes...
  2. I cannot stress enough just how f*^%«#g AWESOME this looks!!!
  3. How in the flying flock did i miss this?! Must have a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock! the Bitmap Brothers are my fave 16-Bit Developers (GODS for the WIN ) so i'm definitely hang'n for this one! LOVE the new music! I have Xenon II CIB on the ST (plus the first from the Power Pack bundle) but mainly played the first, so my memories a bit shady of the original soundtrack for the sequel. This one i absolutely dig and can't wait for the chance to fully get into the sequel on a Jag! The only real question i have is: Will there be a few different controller options as per in other Jag releases (Pro-Controller enhanced, Mouse compatible, etc)? Thank you to all involved! So stocked for this one!!!
  4. That's because you posted it in the Lynx Forum http://atariage.com/forums/topic/249808-is-this-stepdown-okay-for-jag-cd/?do=findComment&comment=3457105 (which i just answered )
  5. Two things: 1) I think you meant to post this in the Jaguar Forum 2) That is the same stepdown converter is use for my NUON's and its the best stepdown converter i have (of the 4 i own)! Not tried it on the Jag or Jag CD Add-On as i use an international adapter/PSU from Dick Smith that does 100-240V range for AU $25
  6. The final price of the Battlesphere Trio was US $1,225.01 « exactly 1 bid/$25 increment less than my max bid
  7. Thanks for the update. Much appreciated!
  8. Echo that! Great find(s)! I would definitely recommend keeping any particular games, Jag or otherwise, that you have an emotional connection with, otherwise you may well regret it down the road. I can vouch for skip! Great guy and fellow Jag collector!
  9. WOW! Congrats! I'm STILL after a CIB XEGS Karateka - it's the last game i need to have a complete XEGS CIB collection! Can't seem to find it anywhere...
  10. Pfft! I bet they're just the common Classic release! Just kidding! Sweet collection!
  11. OK, here is what i know. Please feel free for anyone to correct me if i'm wrong The ONLY Telegames Lynx games to have NEVER had a box release are: Bubble Trouble - originally in a Clamshell, then the later CD cases. Fat Bobby - CD case only. Hyperdrome - CD case only. Raiden - CD case only. All four Lynx games originally (and occasionally still do) come on the Flat black 'Long Live Lynx' carts. The original ones with white labels and black game title on it, later same cart but coloured label, and now mostly Green PCB (but sometime black flat coloured label variants when/if in stock). Interestingly, Krazy Ace Miniature Golf came with typical Lynx box, same order of cart variants as above, but a paper manual - never a booklet or poster instruction. What you get now with Desert Strike, Super Off Road, etc is Black & White photocopied manual, but original Box. The carts however have been increasingly the Green PCB variants. Recently I got Super Off Road from Telegames via Nick (16/32 Systems) and it was the original box and original instructions (lucky ) but Green PCB ( ). Was lucky to pick up a Lynx and 5 game carts plus accessories a few weeks later for only AU $100 - and that included an original Super Off Road curved cart so now i have an original CIB set plus a Green PCB to ComLynx Of course, don't forget the rare Telegames normal game CD cased release variants like Double Dragon, Lynx Casino, etc. that has the CD case, flat black cart and paper instructions!
  12. Cheers for that extra info. Will have a look!
  13. Hell NO!! US 81 and $107?! WTF?! Seriously?? it's JUST the manual that's different! and the flat cart are the rarest of cart versions but certainly not rare or expensive and generally easily available. WOW! i guess I lucked out with a CIB Slime World with Japanese AND English manual for about 15 bucks in total (no other bidders after a week on eBay either)! I wonder if these are the 'New' prices for Jap Lynx manuals?
  14. Always love seeing comparisons so count me in! I was actually looking looking at the list of My Atari Jag Beta carts last week and wondering if any of them are worth the splash of cash
  15. No planned big events or expos in August, but there is a Retro gaming Club on the first Tuesday of each month as well as a Commodore Club on the 3rd Sunday of each month (though i break all the C= rules by bringing in Atari's to play and compare - or link up and play ST vs Amiga ).
  16. That sounds great! Before you come to Melbourne (whenever that may be) let me know in advance
  17. Hi mikro, I can verify that the CD unit works on both NTSC and PAL units as i have several of each that work without any issues. Pozdrav z Austrálie
  18. I think he's just using the Japanese colour instruction book covers for the design of the Japanese boxes, which, to my understanding, apart from KLAX don't actually exist.
  19. Ha! i just bid on them both and then jump on to AA & see this These are legit with the difference being a Japanese manual (though i need the manuals as well as the fat carts of both of these). So far i only have the Slime World Jap manual, but as previously stated, mainly keen for the Gauntlet Jap manual. Also, as far as i know, the ONLY Lynx game to have a totally unique Japanese cart AND box AND manual is KLAX. These manuals would be nice to have in the collection, but i still wish the Japanese did different variants like that did with KLAX!
  20. Happy to hear you discovered the joys of Zarlor ComLynx!! this is one of my favourite ComLynx games and so much fun with more people. Having said that, while we play all the different Lynx ComLynx games from time to time, i found that the best combo for Zarlor is in 3 Player. Its much easier to see whats going on and not lose out on all them Z Ca$h! Remember: the less things there are to shoot, the less money you get at the end of stage, the harder it gets to upgrade! The best tip i have for Zarlor multiplayer: the Backstabber item is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED in 3 and/or 4 player Zarlor sessions!
  21. Haha, thanks. I know a fellow Lynx collector (and fellow Aussie) was (and is) after a flat Gauntlet cart so it was just pure luck i refreshed the Lynx eBay search a few times within 5 minutes (while being a passenger in a car on a long drive) and after the second or third refresh it popped up as a cheap BIN I'm in a very similar boat with trying to hunt down a CIB Karateka for the Atari XEGS, me and another friend/fellow Aussie XEGS collector are missing Karateka to complete our CIB XEGS collections (though he already has a loose cart). As far as other sites, the only other i check apart from ebay is Gumtree Australia, though i'm pretty slack with that as compared to ebay. So the search for Jap Lynx Gauntlet manual is still on, but no so much that i want it for my big Lynx collection, but moreso as i love and collect all Gauntlet games, variants, promo gear & memorabilia
  22. Hi Nick, Thank you for all your work and support over the years! Sad to hear that you must let it go but as Ned Kelly said: "Such is life!" I was thinking of getting some goodies off you soon, so i'll speed it up and have a look over the weekend and let you know. Thanks again mate and all the best. Aleks
  23. Something exactly like that! Well done! Was that on eBay by chance or elsewhere?
  24. Yeah, i finally got the Flat Gauntlet last year and it took me what felt like forever to find! This was only the third flat Gauntlet cart i have ever seen for sale, lucky it JUST listed when i checked at a cheap BIN. But the hunt is still on for a Japanese Gauntlet instruction manual...
