  1. Trevor McFur was one of the last official release Jag games i got and played. Put it off in favour of playing other games and in part due to ALL the terrible reviews i read. Once i put it in, i was overwhelmingly surprised at how much i enjoyed the game! It may have been due to it being much better that what i imagined it would be so i guess that would have helped. I enjoyed the variety and use of power ups and the controls were pretty good. Having said that, i MUCH prefer playing Trevor McFur on the MAS Arcade Stick as opposed to a Jagpad (standard or Pro)! So much so, i barely get past the first level on a pad but will play for ages on the Stick.
  2. Thanks mate. Like i said, the guy just listed about 9 different individual cart variant BIN's (Blue Lightning, Chip's Challenge, Gauntlet, etc), I was just lucky enough to see it pretty much as soon as it got listed so it was instant buy/pay. I'll be happy to keep an eye out for ya! I think i have your mobile number, if so, can text you the auction link if/when i see it
  3. Well, after what seems like an eternity searching for one to add to the collection (both my Atari Lynx as well as Gauntlet collections), i come home yesterday to find the Ridged Gauntlet cart waiting for me in my mailbox! My question is: how many collector's here have this version, or have come across this? The reason being that i know there's a few people who want one, and none of my Lynx collection friends locally have one or even seen one! The Rarity Guide for the Flat and Ridged carts has them between R4-5 (Flat cart variants) and all R5 for Ridged variants (except for Blue Lightning which is R6). Now i have seen all the Flat and Ridged carts available (except for Gauntlet) come up often and cheaply, but not Gauntlet. In fact, this was only the second Ridged Gauntlet cart i have seen on eBay in a looooong time (first was a few months ago in the UK in a big bundle but seller did not want to split). The cart was listed (literally just a few minutes before i searched again for Atari Lynx ) at Buy It Now for €22 (US $25.35) from Spain. So, who here has (or had) one, how much did you get it for, and is it time to upgrade the Rarity on this one (or is it just me )? Cheers!
  4. yes, but just wanted to state what the FULL game package retails for atm as well as indicate my interest in trading for the loose cart I'm after a complete Raiden but would want a spare loose cart to ComLynx (as with all the other CM games in my collection).
  5. Post Atari release. You can buy it New and Complete (with case and instructions) for US $78.50 from Telegames (In Stock). If you don't get the sale or want to trade for somethings you're interested in, please PM me and let me know what you're after. Cheers.
  6. Oh, and another thing, great work on all the labels/boxes/art guys! Very talented people here
  7. I could never stand for any non-official 'MoodBlood' boxes contaminating my original collections! On the other hand (and no contradiction at all ) I love the idea and all the wonderful artwork that people conceive and create for Homebrew/Prototypes/Non-Official releases Hey Russ, love your work as always! aminor00: I echo all those sentiments
  8. Thanks for sharing I've not seen that iTalian Lynx guide before! Looks pretty damn cool! Would love to add that to the ever growing Lynx collection.
  9. Thanks for the info! At least my wallet can relax now So Atari only made other keyboard language versions starting from the 16-Bit range. I was wondering if there was possibly a Polish XE considering the popularity of Atari 8-Bit in that region.
  10. Not just from Europe but US as well. Case in point: I bought a CIB Gauntlet II for the IBM/Tandy. No one else bid (WooHoo ) so i got it for the starting price of US .99c Shipping on the other hand: US $33 Checked the postage price on the parcel, and sure enough, US $33 And you don't even want to know how much that was in AU after our weak ass crappy $ and PayPal conversion fees!
  11. After picking up an Arabic NAJM Atari 65XE i started searching for info on it. That led me to someone stating they had a Hebrew Atari 8-Bit (both with keyboard and OS variants). I'm wondering what other Atari 8-Bit computers came with different language variations? Is there a list that shows all different Atari 8-Bit computer keyboard language versions? I tried searching the Forums but only found keyboard variations - not language / OS variants. Would love to find out more (and collect) other Non-English Atari's
  12. I recently picked up a 1040STF with German keyboard and OS, and that got me thinking: What other keyboard language versions/variants did Atari have for the ST/TT/Falcon range of computers? Also, I assume that any difference in keyboard variation will also come with a different, matching OS? I appreciate any information or thoughts on this. Thanks in advance
  13. That was a pleasure listening to! As well as the tracks from the links in your sig
  14. Hehe, that describes my ST Art experience perfectly! Degas Elite is what we used in High School for drawing, and as i had a 520 STFM at home, that's what i spent many hours on perfecting projects for school. Afterwards i got other packages (CIB with all manuals) like Deluxe Paint and Neochrome (which i still have) but i could never get used to their interfaces. Later i bought a CIB Degas Elite (to complement my High School 'back-up' for Homework purposes ; ) so i would have the manual to learn & do more. I would be interested in hearing others' experiences with different ST art packages as I would like to resuscitate my ST Arting
  15. WOW! Thanks for correcting and sharing the pics! This blows my mind as i have around 6-8 different ST monitors and i have never encountered nor seen anything apart from built-in leads! This includes friends monitors as well as from my old High School (our entire Conputer Room classes were updated from Apple ][e to Atari 1040 STFM computers). Ha, I love learning new things for old favourites! ^^
  16. You shouldn't need one as both SM1224 (Colour) and SM124 (Monochrome) monitors for the ST come with monitor cables attached (like the power lead) so you just need to plug it into your STF
  17. What a coincidence! Though i have plenty of ST/FM/E's, I just bought my 1st ever 1040STF. It came with a mono monitor (which it worked on like a charm) but when i tried the ST Composite Cable i recently got off eBay it didn't work on the Commodore 1084S. Plugged in a 1040STFM and it worked beautifully (the colours looked so sharp - almost as if RGB)! How rare/common are the STF's? In Australia this is the first i have ever come across (and got the lot for AU $99 starting bid with no other bidders and local drop-off).
  18. Thank you so much for sharing! Always so cool to see something totally new for an old system you love and collect for
  19. Telegames sells the Box (original or reprint, not sure) plus a simple green PCB and Black & White standard paper photocopy of the manual After all these years i only recently attained a CIB Desert Strike with original box and original instruction book. I already had a few original curved carts so finally i got the whole thing CIB. I have at least one curved Desert Strike cart which i am keeping for trade for a few things i am still missing in my collection. Would rather swap with a collector then put up on eBay, even if i would end up getting more in return from there.
  20. Be happy to I will have to dig it out of storage, scan it at work and upload it as soon as i get a chance to
  21. Hehe, me too! Already had most of the CD games CIB before i got the CD Add-On (they were cheap as chips back then). Plus, as i already had the game, the collector in me forbade my curiosity to tear open that Demo shrinkwrapp (and it's STILL sealed)! I still have a printout of GoAtari's Jaguar pricelist from the interwebs back in the day As for Jagy merch, only got 2 Magic Eyes mugs - one for use and one for just in case i smashed the use one. Had to get them in seperate orders as they would not sell more than one magic eyes mug per single customer order
  22. Don't forget MYST Demo As for the VLM, i know i couldn't get enough of it when i got it (New/Sealed for $199 from Go Atari, remember that?! ahh, the good old days...)
  23. AWESOME! I'm going to try and track that down! I agree! Plus Vid Grid is a favourite amongst our retro gaming clubs meets and events. Gamers that love the songs that remind 'em of the days of Ye Olde tend to gravitate to it's old school goodness - - -> EDIT <- - - Forgot to add to the Songlist of the Fantasy Sequel On top of the list: The Final Countdown! Then T.U.R.T.L.E. POWER in at second must-have spot And last but certainly not least, Ice Ice Baby takes the Bronze
  24. Yep, I can vouch for Saturn. He's MUTSO!
  25. Super stoked about this #RetroGaming Jackpot arriving today! No time to go into each one (tomorrow ;) but here it is http://t.co/J2WfKPalMH
