  1. I'd love to see a good old RPG on the Lynx! I bought an Amiga 500 (years ago) just to play all the AD&D SSI RPG's that were not released on the ST. As for Bard's Tale, always wanted to play it ever since seeing the ads in old computer magazines. I have a CIB Bard's Tale II: Destiny Knight on the Amiga (Aussie plastic cover version) but haven't played yet. Want to go through all three in order (on real/original hardware) before Bard's Tale 4 comes out (its on Kickstarter RIGHT NOW: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/the-bards-tale-iv?ref=nav_search ) But, like you, any RPG on the Lynx would go down really well with me

  6. You're more than welcome. Credit must be given where credit is due That is so great to hear (particularly the positive motivation)! While anything i'm sure will be great and a most welcome addition to our Lynx libraries, out of that list i would have to pick "a Lotus style game"! I loved these on the ST and Amiga (especially linking-up two machines to play 4P split screen ). If a Lotus type game is selected, i would strongly urge a ComLynx mode - the more the merrier (i hear the Lynx is capable of 16-P ComLynxed )! Speaking of 16-Players link-up... what i would REALLY love to see on the Lynx though, is a version of MIDI Maze (aka: Faceball 2000 on consoles)! For those unfamiliar by MIDI Maze, it's a 16-P FPS game where you are a smiley face/ball where you move around different mazes shooting other smileys. The original was released by Hybrid Arts on the Atari ST and you would link 16 ST's via the MIDI ports (hence the title: MIDI Maze). What i would recommend even more than this is MIDI Maze II <-- this was a Shareware release i got from an Atari ST User cover disc back in '92. It's SO MUCH BETTER then the original and i think it would be a lot easier to make something like this as it was ONLY multiplayer, ie. 2 or more ST's linked. This did away with the AI of Single Player and focused on the best damned multiplayer gaming you could ever hope for back in the day (we linked 4 ST's in my bedroom one time ). The WIN score was determined by points you earned (1 for a Hit and 3 for a Kill). However, the money was also the score, ie: you had to choose weather you wanted to go for the win straight away without upgrades (risky) or spend money/score on power-ups (See others on map, Hide self from map, Reflective shots, etc). Has anyone actually played this game/sequel? The only problem with a multiplayer-only Lynx game is that you would have to either have two or more Lynxes or have mates with a Lynx or two. (i'm good for at least 12 ). Something like this though would be FANTASTIC for get-together's, events, and hopefully, encourage more people to start up new Lynx Parties So, anyone up for a game of ComLynx Maze?
