  1. Has the site been updated yet? I was there not long ago, but nothing had changed.
  2. If only I had such a simple solution to Steve....
  3. As a kid it was marginally fun, but now its a stinker. Maybe it gets played once or twice a year just to make sure it still works. Certainly not one I play daily.
  4. PERFECT! ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! Thank you totally, Sylentwulf! (you too rasty) Now this game will be lots more fun! Super happy Stan
  5. I have not seen it since, but I've not been reloading much lately. I'll give it a good test tonight. I'm using 6/6.01, so I obviously don't have the fixes in 6.2. Its what came with my computer so, I can't complain too loudly, it was free.
  6. Just to let you know, I tried to look at them today and they did not load.
  7. Sometimes when I do a search in the 2600 rarity guide, after the search is complete, the "new search" box is merged with the "advanced search" button and the "search" button is where the "advanced search" button should be. This makes it impossible to enter anything into the search field or to start a new search. This may just be me again, if so let me know and I will capture it for you. Stirring up trouble Stan
  8. "Word Zapper" and "Basic Math" What the !!!! Who bought these (ok, I had Word Zapper as a kid, but it wasn't my fault)? Strange Stan
  9. or even a Fall Guy game! (see liquid_sky's previous advisory)
  10. I just got Riddle of the Sphinx today. I have been intrigued by this game for some time and finally threw down $3 for it. After reading the online manual here, I set off to solve the Riddle. Problem is, who can tell what the all the stuff is. Some things are obvious, the pyramids, the Phoenix, the Sphinx, the shovel, the necklace, the jug. But others are completely ambiguous like the Temple of Isis and the Temple of Anubis, there is some kind of box thingy that looks like a ladder. Does anybody know where I can find a scan of the actual manual or even just a solution site that has pix of the different items and locations? I have an inkling that this game is fun if you know what's what. Part lion-part Stan
  11. Yeah, but lets be fair, the Raiders thread beat this one anyway, because of the number of real, honest quality posts, not just people bumping it up to add extra posts. I'd like to see that article.
  12. Yeah, I'm anxious to see what magic I can work on the M*A*S*H label. Since GOO GONE can be death to label ink, I'm going to have to be creative. Next time I see RAY he's gonna get it.
  13. I bought a really good copy of Mt. King at Cinci, I mean this cart is near mint (with only a little wear on the label at the edge). I was totally excited, but when I flipped the thing over, scrawled in big numbers across the back of the cart in PERMANENT marker was "1.00" and some gibberish. I was deflated. But alas, I just spent 1/2 hour scrubbing the offensive markings with GOO GONE and now you would never know it had ever been there! My Mt. King has been saved! Woohoo! Its the feel-good story of the year! A word of caution, however, GOO GONE will remove the ink from most labels (PB and Imagic are mostly exempt), especially Activision and Atari labels. Best if you use on the plastic of the cart only... Oh the double-edged sword that is GOO GONE. Saved Stan
  14. ok. about what? It is done. Stan of the lamp
  15. LEMMI! You are the man! But do me a favor, I am an idiot and I accidentally deleted your address. Could you resend. Sorry about that. Dolt Stan
  16. Yeah, a ROM is the best idea, since everybody here can access it easily. That will cut your production costs and get the game out much faster than you creating a whole other version.
  17. Uh-oh, looks like I'm going to have to drag the ET cart back out. How do you cause the candy glitch again? Collect 31 pieces and then what? I'll see what I can do. Here we go again Stan
  18. Actually Ogden Stiers has starred in a good number of roles post M*A*S*H. Granted most of them were second tier flicks and often he played a father or somebody's uncle. He has also been in a number of TV movies (ugh) and he is still active (I believe) on the stage. Burns was easier to hate because he was a true villain. He had one maybe two dimensions to his depth and was generally unredeemable. Charles brought a more human side to his foil role and was therefore perhaps more dynamic. For pure comedy and fun, the Burns era rules, but for the harder hitting drama/comedy blend, Charles' time takes the cake. M*A*S*H Mouth Stan As for the Golden Girls, come on! Who wouldn't marvel at the ability to guide Rue McClanahan through her post-menopausal sexual revolution. Or how about taking control of Bea Arthur as she battles her ex-husband Stan (no not me). This game would rule. (no, no it wouldn't) Thank you for being a Stan

    Zaxxon

Hey. I love Zaxxon for 2600, its one of my fav games, but I still realize that it is a FAR cry from the Arcade classic. I just like the format and game layout, plus its just a fun space shooter.
  20. moycon, those rumors are more true than you know! Santa? Really? Oh man, I'm going to camp out in front of the post office! This is too cool! moycon is the coolest, I do officially declare. What did the M*A*S*H T-shirts look like? Anybody got a scan?
  21. Nex time ol' Steve shows up, I'll nab him and send him your way!
  22. I've been reading the M*A*S*H manual online here at Atariage, and this game sounds like a hoot! You compete against Frank Burns, Klinger rescues you if your chopper crashes, Col. Potter has medics jumping out of planes with no 'chutes! This thing sounds like fun. All that and its 2 player! The only things missing are Col. Blake and Radar (and maybe that Winchester chap!). Obviously the game was made to capitalize on the later years of the show. I sure hope Lemmi can get this thing for me tomorrow! Stanicide is Painless

    I love Ebay

Early 60's actually and it was remade as a low-budget 70's porno (with a few minor adjustments)
  24. Okay, I'm not crazy (completely), Steve the gap appears every time I reload the MB main page. Steve appears just below the "w" in the word "now" in the orange auction box, near dead center. I'd take a screen capture for you, but alas, I know not how.... Not nuts Stan

    I love Ebay

See, here's the deal. e-bay in itself is not evil, it being an inanimate object and a virtual tool. HOWEVER, the schmucks who pee in the pool and ruin it for everybody else abuse the luxury of such a service and pollute the good the tool can do. A hammer can build a house or it can crush a human skull, the hammer isn't evil, but it can be used for evil ends. My problem with something like e-bay stems from its abuse at the hands of scum-lickers, and the lack of any real and effective management from the so-called administrators. I love e-bay to in theory, in practice however it sucks.
