  1. MAN! Lemmi. You'd take a guy's brain AND kick him in the nuts in the same thread! I thought we were pals! That's it, I'm keeping the brain, indefinitely! Ha! Yeah, I'm short on games. My history of collection atari is frought with peril and none too happy, so I am scrambling now to catch back up to where I used to be. And the "wild" market here should change its name to "bare." Unless you are looking for 30 copies of Warlords, Night Driver, and Video Olympics. I'm also a stickler for nicely kept carts. There are a few commons around here I'd like, but they are in shambles. I will not own a Frostbite with a faded green label. Its just not right (at least for now). Wounded Stan (twist the knife Lemmi, sheesh!
  2. Do these long lost initials we are talking about appear in the menu type bar at the top, say about 3/4 of the way on the right and appear in a dark blue color? I have unlocked them a couple of times with the emulated version (never with the actual cart, yet), but I had no idea they were anything special. I just figured they were an easter egg like the YAR and INDY. I have NO idea how I did it, but I will try to do it again and take a screen shot. If I do it on the VCS getting a screen shot may be a challenge, but if all else fails I'll try to keep meticulous record of HOW I did it. And it does look dead-on like the image you drew in the initial post, a "J" and "D" merged together. I'll keep you posted. Stan

    GFX editiors

HA! And here I was afraid you had lost interest in the Diff'rent Strokes game. Though, wouldn't the pick actually be more appropriate in Todd's hair? The Alligator/Fuji shirt for Arnold is PRICELESS!!!! I am so looking forward to this. I'll offset the cost if you can get this onto a cart for me! Keeping the fire alive! Stan
  4. Lemmi, once again you have possession of the brain. Thanks for using it and backing me up this time! Brain-swapping stan
  5. What I did was go to the link from your page, from the Adventure map, typed in supermap.gif at the end of the URL and it took me there. I got my map and that's what matters. Thanks again Scott. MAYBE now it won't take so long to save the world. Stan-el
  6. Heads up, Scott. That link on your page takes me to a map of Adventure instead.
  7. Thanks Scott. Your site is the total best by the way. Truth, Justice, and the American Stan

    Break the Seal?

THANK ME? Thank you, moycon! You rock. by the way, check yer e-mail. The games are open and are a total blast! WHEEEEEEE! Happy Stan
  9. Is there a proper mapping system for the city of Metropolis in Superman. I'm fairly new to the game and right now every screen seems pretty random. I suspect it has something to do with the "subway," but it is beyond me. I put the bridge together and rounded up all of Lex's crew in about 5 mins. Then I proceeded to spend another 5 trying to find the phone booth and then the Daily Planet. A map would cut my time in half at least! Stan Olsen
  10. I'll send you a bigger box! Seriously. (e-mail me)
  11. 2600: 25 (wahoo! its growing, slowly) NES: 26 (I kept the ones I liked and got rid of the rest) PSX: 19 N64: 5 (about the number of good games for this system) That's it for now.

    Break the Seal?

Yeah. I think I'm gonna break the seal. I mean if push comes to shove, I could be a total weasel and re-shrink wrap them. I must play them, they are calling me. The gamer in me smashes the collector in me, easily. By the way Lemmi, the games are Jungle Hunt and Gravitar. (no, not the silver one) Thanks for the help, guys. Stan

    Break the Seal?

Ben, you is no help. Did you not read that I am of two minds about this? At least I have Zaxxon and Ptifall II to keep me busy until I decide what to do! Quandry Stan
  14. A very cool person sent me a very cool package and in it were 2 sealed Atari games. That's the good news. Now I need some advice. Should I break them open and play them (I really want to) or should I leave them sealed and wait for open carts in the wild? Neither one is super rare or anything (although most everything here could be considered rare), but these are the first SEALED carts I've ever had and the fraction of a collector in me says leave them be. What to do? Dilemna Stan

    beat atari games

I'm working on the complete solution for Private Eye even as we speak. I've got the first 3 solved completely, in the middle of 4, and fearing trying to solve 5. It will go up with my complete Indenture solution when I launch my website (hopefully) this Thanksgiving. I've had setbacks. Solution Stan
  16. Reactor is too hard for me. But based on what little skill I do have with the game, its a B+. I can't rank it too high because I just don't have as much fun playing it (like beating my head against a wall)

    Atari Radio

I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it. Be sure you clue us in when the show rolls around so we can call ya.
  19. oh, and moycon, as you know, the package you sent was totally cool! Although it has left me in somewhat of a spot. See my new thread...
  20. All of the true atari avatars are really cool, because they are from the games, but I really like the customs too because they have a more personal flair! I don't think I could pick one as the "best."
  21. If I only rank the ones I have it will be a short list: 1. Spider-man But if I list the ones I have played: 1. Spider-man 2. Montezuma's Revenge 3. Frogger 4. Tutankham 5. Star Wars the Arcade Game 6. Empire Strikes Back 7. Popeye 8. Q*Bert 9. Super Cobra 10. Reactor 11. Star Wars Death Star Battle
  22. Pitfall Harry (Ben) made some great ones for the site earlier in Oct. But if you want to make your own, just send in your fav image, scan, pic, etc in jpg or gif format. Crop it if you like, like I did with Spidey, or just send the whole image and they will scrunch it into a box. They are awesome about making the image you send them look good. Custom Stan
  23. Wow. For the record, I've never seen a thread go over 75 posts. In light of the new info, I guess this one will die on the vine as well?

Chocolate here tastes less and less like chocolate and more like wax. If you want the real stuff you gotta lay down some serious clams. Swiss Stan To keep 70's happy and stay on topic let me just plug his radio show and ask him again for the phone number. Covering all the bases Swiss Stan
