Sorry 70's old pal, I got distracted. If I didn't have to work most days when you are on, I'd give you a buzz. PLUS you have the unfortunate task of competing with Howard Stern. PLUS, We have a local station here that uses the same freq. But if you get it up and running on the internet, I'll try to listen when I can and perhaps give you a ring. Did you give the phone # yet? Back on track Stan
  2. I will be bringing $$$$$ so I can buy a bunch of stuff.
  3. ITS THIS WEEKEND! Wahooo! By the way, I can only make it on Sat, but I'll probably be around all day and most of the evening. Is anybody going to be there on Friday other than dealers setting up booths? Those of you planning on attending, maybe we can hook up and grab a bite! See ya there! Stan

I consider Pitfall! beat when I can last 20 mins. I get careless after the first 10.

No patches from Activision any more. Sadly Most games do have an end, be it a proper ending, flipping (or rolling the score), or just ending (Enduro). The coolest way I even beat a game was when I flipped Frostbite and the whole game just locked up. That was very hard and I am yet to repeat. Frosty Stan

Sadly in this age of over-litigation and legal froo-froo, history will most likely recall those who first obtained legal proof of invention as the "real" or "official" inventors. It may not be fair, but that looks like the way it may be. Don't mistake me for a fan of this idea, just realistic about it. I invented the telescope. Stan

WOW! This thread went nuts. 2 points: First, exactly which light bulb are you debating? And keep in mind that post industrial revolution, credit goes to the first to patent the invention, not just the first to find it. Second: Did someone say "Iced Tea?" Ugh. Tea, under NO circumstance should be served cold. What's the point? To all involved: Am I the only one who is totally loving this give and take cultural exchange? It is refreshing to know that the world is still a diverse place and has not been Disney-fied or fallen victim to Political Correctness. Thanks Expanding my horizons, Stan
  8. I thought I remembered it having to do with the date, but the letters threw me. Thanks guys. Gracious Stan
  9. JAH FISH is posting again! Yippeee! Thanks for all the advice about this guys. I think I'm going to keep it out of the box as long as I am playing it heavy, then pop it back in when I lose interest!
  10. I think we covered this a while back in another topic, but I can't find the post, so could someone briefly explain what the little numbers mean that are stamped into the end label of my Atari carts? Or at least hook me up to the topic where this was explained? I'd appreciate it. Number jumbled Stan

You mean all Canadians DON'T live in igloos and fight polar bears with hockey sticks all the while saying "eh" and "about" (so that it sounds like "aboot") a bunch? Man, what a downer, and here all this time I thought you guys had culture. I guess your just as bland and colorless as the rest of us. (should I have spelled color with a "u"?) You do still all speak French like inbred Parisians right? Stereotypes are dumb, Stan (I seriously mean NO offense to anyone, I'm just havin' fun. I know this can actually be a touchy issue) Also Sensitive Stan
  12. It makes things easier if you can just buy the rights to the game from the developer/programmer for one lump sum and then produce all you like. Of course, agreeing on that lump some becomes the rub....

    Repair 2600

Shouldn't he just be able to buy a new power supply and plug it in the back? I thought the only cord that was attached to the VCS was the one that goes to the TV. Is if diff on heavy sixers or Sears?

    Repair 2600

BE CAREFUL! Sheesh! You DEFINITELY need a new power pack. It sounds like the problem is with that goofed up prong. Diagnostic Stan

    Repair 2600

Does the prong fit loosely in the socket? Do the sparks come from the hole or the prong? Sounds like a bad connection. It would be idea if you could get another power pack and try it, see if you have the same problem. Stan

    Repair 2600

What part is sparking? The plug jack or the end that goes into the VCS itself? And for safety's sake, if it starts to spark, unplug it immediately! You could really up your system or burn down your house. Safety Stan
  17. Check with Pitfall Harry (aka Ben) on these boards. He is the ultimate expert on Pitfall stuff. Better yet, check out his site here. you can drop him an e-mail from there. He's tops. Free plug Stan
  18. I just bought a boxed Pac-man Jr., its the first game with a box in my collection. So those of you with boxed games, let me ask, how do you store them? Do you leave the game in the box and take it out everytime you want to play them(and doesn't this add wear and tear to the box)? Do you keep the cart out of the box and store the box seperate? Or do you just wait for a second copy of the game to come along so you can preserve the one in the box? All boxed in-Stan
  19. You want the Sears Combat? Its yours. Good riddance. If you are serious, drop me an e-mail and I'll ship it out this week. Sears-less Stan
  20. GAH! Even here, Mallow mocks me! Now hmmm. I wonder where exactly that Jag I was sending you is about now..... (Ha! You get that thing yet?) Stan
  21. Sadly no. I cannot stand any Sears version of any game. And its goofy, but its all because of those butt-ugly carts. YICK! I have a Sears Combat that I am tempted to chuck, because it uglies up my collection. I may just use it to wedge my NES carts in the front loader. But yeah, PONG SPORTS is a better name. Stan
  22. BAH! I can top all of this. My Mario Bros. cart has the name "Bobby Mallow" CARVED into it on the back! CARVED! All the GOO GONE in the world will not rid me of Bobby Mallow! Engraved Stan
  23. That is an incredible haul. Things are hit and miss here right now, but it sure beats the blank few months I had this summer! I'm seeing Sega Genesis here by the truckload.
  24. DUDE! That would be the coolest. I'll drop you an e-mail. THANKS! Super Happy Stan!
