  1. I can't wait to play it! Too bad we can't hack the sound to play the Diff'rent Strokes theme. Dude, that episode where the perv had Arnold and Dudley was too creepy, I still shudder at that one. Its almost as bad as when that red-headed brat showed up. The "ball" could be the basketball they are shooting in the intro and the basketball that breaks the lamp in the episode where Willis' old "club" came to the penthouse for their meetings. Now if only we could work in a cameo by Janet Jackson as Willis' girlfriend..... When do we get to make a "Silver Spoons" Game?, Stan
  2. DOH! Its Diff'rent Strokes to MOVE the world. Not rule. What was I thinking????? I'm an idiot, Stan
  3. Diff'rent Strokes to rule the world, yes it does, it takes Diff'rent Strokes the rule the WORLD! If you thought that was good, how about this tidbit: The Diff'rent Strokes theme song is crooned by none other than TV's Alan Thicke! I wish I was Dudley (hey can you work him in too?), Stan
  4. Actually, Lemmi, no. This is the shortest week ever. Friday is tomorrow already! See, I have the week off, so my time is going "zip-weeee" while your week is going".......snore.....snore...snore." I wish this week was longer!
  5. If it were 2600, then I'd say square or bust, baby! In my mind, if I'm not a big mono-colored square, then it ain't Adventure. But seeing as to how this is 5200, you really should use something more detailed. The square would just be out of place in world of such richer graphics.
  6. That's pretty twisted, liquid_sky. Leave Dana Plato out of this. The Todd Bridges angle is funny, sick, but funny. Is there any way to make one of the objects related to the Gooch? Maybe the airplane is Arnold's smashed up lunch box, the Gooch is hurling at him? Perhaps those black boxes with the "spidey sense" coming out of the top could be hacked to be Mrs. Garrett's fat . How can you work Abraham in there? Maybe you can hack the suitcases or money bags to be little fish Arnold has to collect? You could even hack the background so they start out on the street and work their way up to the penthouse. As for Webster, you can always hack Towering Inferno and recreate the episode where Webster ser the Popadopolus' apartment on fire! Now you've dragged me into it!
  7. Just an "A-"? That's not on a curve is it? I must try harder next time....
  8. My schedule just got cleared! I'll see you guys there! If I can figure out who you are. I'm a travellin' Stan
  9. Who didn't think FofI would fly off the handle at an off hand remark made in the early 21 century? I mean really? Just teasin', FofI. The set up was just too "there." Goofin' Stan
  10. He keeps falling in them, you know.....just like he.....never...really...did in the movie. Heck, I don't know. There are only about a million ways to make this game better, but I still have very fond memories of this game from being a kid. The concept was pretty good....
  11. Yeah, but even if I duck, 50% of the time that mother-scratchin' bat still makes off with the crown. After two or three failed attempts, I have to go lie down. I do think it is fun and a great game, but it is hard for me.

    NO LADY BUG?

No insult, zero, I've actually seen very few Colecovision games in my time, so the color of the cart didn't immediately stand out. They were mixed in with other Coleco ATARI carts and I just didn't notice the diff. Lady Bug cart for Coleco is almost identical to the Donkey Kong Cart for Atari in terms of shape (it only has a few embelishments on the sides). Hence my confusion.
  13. So do the warps go away after you use them? And do they only appear in certain places? Is the purpose of a warp to save steps? Do they drop you in a random location or the same place each time?
  14. As to your rating system, it would help if we all knew more about the game itself. What the hell is a "warp?" I assume a player acrues steps merely by walking around in the game?

    Sega?

Did somebody say "Atari?" I love Atari, Atari is great. Tapper for Atari is a super fun game. I think it was made by some company called "Vega" or maybe it was "Sepa," I forget. But is sure is fun to play that game on Atari. Havin' some fun with the Friend of Sonic, Stan
  16. Sure, every system has their Night Driver, but Atari definitely has two things modern systems lack: originality and diveristy. Most modern systems are comprised of a core 3 game types: Sports/Fighter, Shooter, RPG. Atari had stuff like Circus Atari (which is a catagory all its own), Crystal Castles, Pitfall, Private Eye, etc. in addition to their sports and shooter titles. Atari has something for EVERYONE. I love Atari, Stan
  17. Here's another one I found that did not come up.
  18. Every time I start up Dragster, the engine just goes ahead and drops out of my car. It knows full well that I cannot play this game at all. I don't think I have ever finished the race.
  19. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of hidden treasure being revealed with the flashlight and all, but I have been killed by the damn Spider or have had the crown stolen by a bat so many times because of my inability to jump, it makes me absolutely NUTS! I wish there was a way to compromise. I like the game a lot, but its hard for me to play well. Run on sentence, Stan

    Non-Manual scans

    Yay for the Swordquest comics!
  21. what's a "microplay?"
  22. Then technically, YOU are the youngest collector, my friend. Its too cool that people who are 12 and 14 are jazzed about Atari. There is hope for the future!
  23. I'm trying to go the other way, a seperate TV for each system. I've got one for my PSX, one for my N64, one for my 2600 (although I have to get one to replace since my Solaris doesn't work on it) so that will give me a fourth for my NES. But with PS2 and Gamecube soon to be mine, I will soon fall behind.
  24. Um...marty...I don't mean to be a smart , but if he was nine five years ago...... 14
  25. That was the biggest disappointment for me, the lack of the word POW in that box. And yes, Return of Mario Bros. does look far superior. Now if only I could get a cart......
