    Intellivision

FYI, there has been an explosion of Intellivision stuff here. I'm seeing boxed copies of lots of games. I just saw AD&D boxed today and a couple of TRON games boxed among several others. They were cheap (some as low as 80 cents!). If you need something, let me know and I'll check it out for you. No trouble, I don't care about INTELLIVISION, Stan

    NO LADY BUG?

My total bad. It was a colecovision game, they had it lumped in with the Atari games and I just did a general glance. They are usually good about not mixing games, that's why I was suspicious. Sorry for all the fuss. Over-excited Stan

    Solaris PAL?

Aargh! My TV has no such knob (curse of modern technology.) I shall get another TV then. Solaris must be played. If its not a real PAL cart then I shall keep it and try it on another TV. Thank you Eckhard Stolberg.
  4. I try to avoid Actiplaque when buying Activision carts. If I get any that are cleaner that the ones here, I'll send you a scan.
  5. WHOA! Hold on memorymoog. I agree that Mt. King's graphics are simplistic, but this game is really quite a challenge. I have never made it to the top with the crown, ever, but I keep on trying cause I keep getting oh so close. If anything the game can be addictive. The controls take some getting used to (I'd rather not have the flashlight and use the button to jump instead of the stick), but the concept is pretty original and the game itself is fun once you get the hang of it. Check out the manual here on Atariage and give it a couple more tries. Maybe it can change your mind, or maybe its just not for you. I'd say Mt King is an A- overall Bottom of the Mountain Stan
  6. Thanks, Lemmi, you are the coolest!
  7. Is there anyway to emulate the paddle/joystick switching trick on PCAE? I am yet to own a cart of the game (I am addicted to the stupid thing) and don't want to ruin a $20 joystick on the 1500m dash while playing it on the emu. Is there anyway to make this trick work on the emu?
  8. thanks, it will make me very happy!

    NO LADY BUG?

Good to know, I'll check tomorrow and let you know what is really going on.
  10. OOOOOOOO! I want one! I want one! Where did you get? I want one!
  11. I'm wearing an Atari T-shirt right now! Atari merchandise is back, baby! Whoo-hoo!
  12. Thanks Albert! It looks just like I remember. Now I shall download the ROM. Thanks.

    NO LADY BUG?

I'll do that. I swear it looked just like a 2600 cart. What's the difference between the Colecovision cart and the 2600 cart?
  14. You know what's funny. I have ALWAYS associated Pac-Man with Atari. If I see an image of the little yellow beast, I immediately think of Atari. Perhaos the lack of a flagship is Atari's greatest asset. Often flagships can dig you into a hole and keep you there despite your best efforts to get back out. Atari is the system for ALL characters and ALL games, from Spider-man and Mario to Frogger (another character I always equate with Atari) and Indian Jones. Atari is for everyone. That's why I love it. Did lack of a flagship icon hurt Atari, possibly. But it was most likely those damn Trammiels.....
  15. I was just looking for some screenshots of Mouse Trap by Coleco for 2600. The icon next to the title says there are some, but when I click the link, I get nothing? I sure am up to some weird crap tonight, huh?

    NO LADY BUG?

I just did a search for Lady Bug in the 2600 section and it came up empty? Now I just saw a copy of Lady Bug at a shop here in KY. What gives?
  17. That was quick! GREAT NEWS, thanks Albert! Looking forward to it!
  18. I was just wondering what kind of condition your collections are in? I try to only pick up carts that are in really good condition. Label tears, discoloration, plastic scars, are usually deal breakers for me. If its minor, I'll get it and try to fix it, but mostly I only get stuff that looks pretty clean. So does the condition of the cart affect your buying habits? For a little more fun, what cart do you have in the absolute WORST condition?
  19. Ben, man, that is so deep. I have more fun looking for stuff in the wild and making trades. Sure it gets frustrating, but that makes finding something all the more rewarding. I guess I enjoy the hunt as much as the capture. Atari Field and Stream, Stan
  20. Are there currently any plans to add 2600 manual scans to the site? I know that it is time consuming, but I just wondered if they were ever going to become a reality. The current archive is great and all, but pics would be so nice....
  21. DECATHLON wins this hands down (gently).
  22. My collection got a kick in the pants this week. I found a store in nearby Indiana that buys old Atari stuff from people. They had a working VCS and several non-working ones, plus about 25 games. Most of the games are pretty worn (i.e. Frostbite actually looks worse than the one here on Atariage, its green!), but I did pick up the "Raiders Lost Ark" Raiders cart and that stupid PAL Solaris I'm trying to get answers about in my other thread. I also got Mario Bros. and Combat (I had to take it with the VCS, to make matters worse, its the Sears). Needless to say this is the biggest haul I've ever made. They have a couple others I might go back and get. Of course, now I have the itch....I must find more.....

    Solaris PAL?

Well, needless to say, this PAL Solaris, which looks just like a normal Solaris, does me absolutely NO good. Anyone who has an extra normal Solaris and would like to swap, I'll pay the shipping for the both of us. FYI: The Solaris cart I have is in excellent shape.
  24. My parents bought our first Atari in 1981, but I had already been bitten by the Arcade bug, so this was just heaven. I've been playing video games in some fashion ever since, but I have ALWAYS come back to Atari, no matter what other modern systems I have. Flashback Stan
  25. I'm actually rather good at Dolphin, its all about getting into a rhythm. Private Eye is tough past level 3, but I'm working on making it easier (my website may be up sometime this year...) The toughest I can think of has to be Keystone Kapers, and I'll tell you why. I can play the crap out of it, but NEVER can I get more than 26,000. Never. I'd say Pressure Cooker, but that's only because I haven't got the hang of that game. No "Billy Club" for me, Stan
