Wow! No Greatest American Hero up there in Canada? That's low. Zero, you have missed out on some really crappy TV. Let me guess, you didn't get C.Hi.P.S either? Now there's your video game from a TV series!

Proof once again that e-bay is a tool of evil. And yet another reason I will NEVER EVER sell anything on e-bay, EVER. E-bay sucks, down with e-bay Stan

Raiders of the Lost Ark Solaris Space Shuttle Once you have the comics, the Swordquest games get easier to figure out.

Yeah, I got a box of over a thousand Magic cards I need to unload too. I've only got stuff from 3rd Revision, Arabian Nights, Legends era to Iceage, Homelands, Alliaces era. There's some good crap in there I think. There's a lot of land and commons as well. I'm looking to unload them CHEAP.

I gotta know where you are getting these trunks? What kind of place do you live in where treasure chests surface at will? There are no mysterious trunks where I live. Treasure Hunting Stan

I'm trying to clear my schedule, so I'll probably be there! Wheee!

I, too, was fairly happy with Popeye, but I do miss the Seahag a LOT! How hard would it be to pitch her in? One of my favs needs a complete face lift, Zaxxon. Pink turrets? PINK? And what are those bird-head-looking things? Attack of the green boomerangs? Come on.

I too had these concerns, therefore the vampire hunting game that I am working on (which will be much in the vein of another popular vampire hunting game *cough-Cstlvn-cough*) will simply be called "Vampire Hunter." I'm going to dodge every legal encounter I can, because stupid red tape should not get in the way of fun. Besides, if I just give it away for free, they can't prosecute me! So you legal watchdogs! "Kill all the lawyers" Stan

Sounds too cool, now get to work, Stan wanna play fun game.

The stupid pawn shop was closed the other day, reason unknown. I'll give it another go this weekend. Sorry. I'll also look at the FLEA when it comes in town this weekend, try to get one cheaper if I can. And yeah, the stars are kind of like rank and status. The more posts you make the more stars you get. You should get another one at 50 posts (I think) Tempest has the most posts ever, over 1000, therefore he has !!!!!!!!, instead of stars. Twinkle, twinkle little Stan

One of the main reasons I play video games is because of the characters and or stories that are usually a part of the game. From Pitfall! to Swordquest, from Mario Bros to Zelda, from Tomb Radier to Final Fantasy, mythos are a big part of gaming. I was just wondering what everybody's favorite gaming mythos or cast of characters would be? For the record, one of my most favorites is the Castlevania mythos. Its your standard Dracula epic, but I get so wrapped up in those games everytime I play them. I love the story and the atmosphere of that series. Anybody else?

BAH! Rhindle, I shall crush you at SoulCalibur any day of the week! My Lizardman is unbeatable and I am pretty good with others as well! I look forward to perhaps playing you some day. You'll probably beat me. And to further rain on your parade, Nateo, my River Raid best is currently holding at 30,690. I am the sad and lonely King of Frostbite. I can roll that game over with 9+ extra lives. Its good to be king, but its very cold. I also enjoy some success with Crystal Castles and Mr. Do!

Dude, there's no rule that says you can't make a kick Adventure II as well! Were you making it for the 2600? I'm interested in ANYONE who is making new games for retro systems. I say get back at it! I, for one, want to see what you have planned! Cheerleader Stan

Yeah, instead of everything being new and different, I'd be happy with just a new VCS, identical to the old VCS, but with updated console and joysticks, maybe a d-pad controller. That way I can play all my old carts on a new system (as old VCS become harder to find) It would also be cool, like Nateo (whose Kung Fu, by the way, is stronger than mine) said, to have the new console be reverse compatible with older sticks and paddles. Here's the New Stan, same as the old Stan

When I can find the time, I spend about two hours on the message borads, playing games, and working on programming per night (usually less cause I'm so busy). Occasionally, I'll find extra time, especially when I get a new game (like yesterday I got Castlevania Chronicles for PSX and today or tomorrow Spider-man 2 comes out, so there goes my weekend!) I guess I spend an average of 10 hours a week plus whatever weekend time I can spend, maybe a total of 15 hours a week. Hectic Stan

I play the emu for now because I am still trying to track down a working VCS and more carts. I'd be pretty limited playing the scant few games I have right now. I'd rather play the original for the ambiance it provides, but for now the emu must suffice (not being able to use the real joystick is a pain in the ) The large library of games gives you unlimited options though! And, Marco, I'll have you know that an inflatable doll works just fine when you don't have the real thing (college flashback...shudder...shudder.... ) Inflatable Stan

So many memories so little time... I used to play several games in a series and play them like one big adventure. For example, I would play Pitfall!, Pitfall II., Jungle Hunt, Congo Bongo and Tutankham and pretend they were all part of the same really big game. I used to mix and match all kinds of crazy adventures with my Atari games. What fun! Memory Lane Stan

Welcome! Atariage has a pretty decent selection of emus. I used both StellaX and PCAE (but I use PCAE the most). Both are good for games and the atariage ROM archive should keep you busy for a while!) Happy Gaming Stan

I'll go out that way tomorrow after work and see if its still there. I'll give you the details as soon as I know more. Don't worry, I won't buy anything until you are sure its what you are looking for.

monkeys and pie are good.

I'm not sure how much it would cost to ship. Let me check it out, make sure the price is closer to $30 than $60 and make sure there are all the cords and a controller. I'll absorb the shipping cost, if we can hook you up.

I saw one at a pawn shop here in Louisville about a month ago (I think they were asking somewhere between $30 and $60 American) I can see if it is still there this week? Let me know Stan

Its 6502 Assembly for the 2600 and its a pain in the Game sounds fun though. Good luck Also programming-Stan

Umm-off topic a bit, but I've been watching your posts and just to let you know communism is still an ugly concept and probably will be as long as China continues to give it a black eye. The fundamentals of the social construct are not necessarily evil, but the track record of communist countries in the past isn't good. The right tools in the wrong hands.... So expect some flack, but educate yourself and stick to your beliefs and you can never go wrong. Socratic Stan

Uh, that goes ditto for my asking of the same question.
